That Log will weigh in at approximately 3500 pounds and I used to load such Soft Maples with a Hand Crank wench on a one and a half ton 1957 Ford and love it all. Brush as well as the Stump with a Model 6 Vermeer Grinder in a Morning before lunch with two brush boys. Just think about how many trees they have to do just for one payment on just one of their machines. This is only a way the Machine Mfg.s make money . The man who owns the Payments sweats every second of his life and his wife is searching for a man who has less stress and cam please her needs. I have been there and done this.

Great gear & crew! Wonder if that was a city or private job? Either way they took it out before it fell due to that major rot:0
@tazdevilg1232 жыл бұрын
Since it’s in the easement, my guess would be they’re on city contract, city sidewalk crew was redoing the whole area, the tree was in the way/grew and the roots pushed the sidewalk up. Less so to do with the rot, the city commission doesn’t preemptively take care of hazards unless they’re begged to.

Two man crew removes a 36”+ Silver maple in a half hour! Talk about production. Of course the knuckle boom with the grapple saw will run you about $500K

what a waste of our resources.

Unless yours is the house or car that gets crushed by the falling tree! During Hurricane Isabel, we had 4 of our 75+ ft trees blown down and two of our neighbors trees ended up in our yard. But three months before, we had 14 trees in our yard taken out, just in case something like that would happen!! Most people in the city don’t have woodstoves any more and wouldn’t know what to do with them if they did. So it’s not wasted resources, its safety first!

Says the guy whose house isn’t under a tree. Bet you bet you calling these guys if you’re house is crushed by a tree.
