Being multilingual is a blessing when it comes to this! Kingdom and the entirety of jojo happen to be available in French but not in English for example. On the other hand, living in a non English speaking country makes English volumes a lot more scarce and expensive

I think I’m just going to learn the language because I mean I really don’t think that’s something that is possible to regret

Hajime no Ippo is a special manga series , the man behind the series George Morikawa is a seriously talented man he's been drawing hajime no ippo since he was 23 and is now 56 I have nothing but respect and praise for this man I'm currently up to date with hajime no ippo it has over 1300+ chapters atm it's quite a long read for some but 100% worth the journey to read if you find the time boogie thanks for showing hajime no ippo some love 😁👍

Galaxy Express 999 and Ashita No Joe are ones I wish got a English release. As for newer series, Innocent and the Climber would be great, and any series by Atsushi Kaneko would be great to have as well. The only one that got translated was Bambi and her Pink Gun.

In Russia, not many good and popular series can be found in physical copies. I really want to buy Vagabond and all Urasawa's works. We don't have any of them, which is really sad, cause I'm a big fan of both Urasawa and Takehiko Inoue. I wanted to buy ones in English, but prices for delivery are ridiculous. So, yeah, now I just need to wait.

I’m currently in Switzerland right now ( next to France 🇫🇷) and their are manga wich not so rare in French edition that are super rare in Canada or the US: For example : Mushishi I got the entire collection for the same price as any other 10 volume purchasing price ( technically less because store struggles to sell it ) . Then Ashita no Joe wich is only re-edited in French version ( I still have missing volume because was reprinted in the 90’s there ). Finally GTO super easy to find and a favorite there they love it 😮‍💨

My top 3 that I wish I could collect is Kingdom, Hakaiju, and Crows. Now all of these have english translations but I literally hate reading digitally. Its quite a curse to have when you're really into manga but i've survived this far. I just hope these series eventually get physical releases someday.

Digashi Kashi was the last anime I expected to see on this list. It such an amazing show! Surprised that it doesn’t have an English translation yet! Here a video idea: what about series that got canceled that we would like to see come back to life? I would love for the English release of Gurren Lagann to finish.

Kokou no hito needs a blown up omnibus you can get it out in like 5-6 books. How is this not available in any other language is beyond me. There are literally so many random mangas being translated…

Yes to everything about Kingdom. I've been reading it since 2014 (according to Goodreads), and seeing it start to get the attention it deserves is amazing. It's at the top of my list for "please release in English" along with Yokohama Shopping Log.

I am a big Wotakoi fan. With that series ending, I have been craving a successor and I was interested in a series called: "I'm Nearly 30, but This Is My First Love". From the reviews and its description, it looks like a nice wholesome adult romance series. I hope that someday it will get a release and I can take it for a test run.

I mean BBB was released before by Dark Horse but its out of print now 😩 Hence, I literally started learning Japanese just cause I want to read them, also like Japanese mangas are more cheaper than the English ones here so it will also save a few bucks!

Kids on the Slope is definitely a series I wish I could collect in English but it hasn't been licensed 😓 the anime adaptation is wonderful (as expected from Shinichiro Watanabe). The series was released in French but it's out of print now and exceedingly hard to get all of them. I'll keep waiting for an English release I guess 😭 Also I'm going to be collecting Beck the Perfect Edition in French! The first two volumes are dropping in 2 weeks. Absolutely one of my favourite animes growing up.

I am currently reading Kingdom and that manga is fantastic I hear that the season 1 and 2 animation was not that great especially the CGI but season 3 it was well done

I used to illegally read manga online, specifically Berserk, because it was my first manga but after I collected the original run of Tokyo ghoul, I decided to not finish Berserk until I collected it in its entirety and in fact I actually started fresh from the begining to make up for what I had done before. I try to restrain myself from reading digital now because I prefer series physically but also its bad for the industry if done illegally from pirated websites. However, series like Kingdom and Haji Me No Ippo are not able to be read in english any other way. My point is to ask you guys if you think its okay to read a series illegally if there is not an English release or translation for the series.

This is my main reason for switching to collecting Japanese manga instead of English. Even though I can't read the Japanese volumes I have no problem reading digitally and find it more convenient anyway especially when I'm on the road. My goal with collecting is to just have a physical collection of all the series I enjoy, reading physically has never been something I really cared about. I know for other people that is not the case though, I always feel like it's simply better to do what u think is best. I do think though that if a series is OOP and costs a crazy amount of money like Air Gear for instance being $1000 for a full english set. It is best to just buy it in a different language for a 10th of the price but that's just me.
