Dances did well. It’s a sick idea. But I kinda feel like they were being clowned by some of the music. Back street boys, Vanilla ice, eurythmics. Not street dancing songs and not something I would want to battle too. I hope the comp continues and they move in a direction of taking the music and dancers seriously. Not that ppl can’t have fun n be silly And djs can’t play out there tracks. But I don’t want ppl to be forced to dance to music that makes them look like a clown. Pop tracks no one ever took seriously.

I disagree, I think that innovating by putting songs that are not street dance is a great idea and letting the artists represent their dances in any type of music is incredible how they can get up, not to put a pop song for a bboy I will be ridiculed, I honestly do not understand your way of thinking that in every dance style there must be a style of music because if it does not fit, if it were like that I would always end up feeling very monotonous and boring.

Only when u know very well a thing u can try to combine to another one: when u perfectly know two tipe of dance you are avaible to try to mix them up...otherwise the result will be a mix of an incomplete knowledge of a thing with a personal and complete knowledge of another one. One of those will look ridiculous. For example the bboy trying to break on an hard-rock track...i felt bad for him. Without doubts is challenging...for him...but innovating...pffff......innovation is for everyone i think 😘
