Dear Lego, please don‘t change A SINGLE brick of this amazing set! All the details and functions are stunning, including the self-playing-function. I know there sure won‘t be an ideas-set with powerfunctions, but maby one which can be upgraded with one? Or with a winch like the helicarrier.

Maakasu-san in the new sets, they made something like you can put power up hub if you want to motorize. So they can make the piano like that. You can manually play it but not motorized without the hub Sorry for my bad english

I was wowed the first time I saw the pictures, and my jaw dropped when I watched the video, showcasing all the incredible features. He makes designing a grand piano look so easy! I will definitely buy this one... *IF* Lego doesn’t remove a lot of features. All the special features are what make this build so incredible! I don’t care if a build is difficult or expensive... it’s worth it. Lego Ideas is for enthousiasts, just give us this complexity. PLEASE!!

I noticed the keys here look more flush and level than in the official lego version, I wonder if that's something they messed up. The official version does have the little ledge design on the keys though which is a nice addition.

And then LEGO make a music App to match the tune the key presses are playing.

Too bad they changed some of his ideas, it was perfect ....BUT when it became available, I did buy it and I lOVE it. One of my favorite builds ! But Donny Chen's version was better. Hope to see more of his work.

Idea: make the keys triggers that sends a signal to a small speaker that plays the sound of each note

For that you will need a membrane like thing like buttons on a controller but not having to press it with force like the game boy color uses membranes to make a contact to connect to make a signal that goes to the card with the notes and plays notes on a twitter or a small speaker

I made a weird 3 string banjo thing with the strings being bought exclusively. It sounds pretty decent, and you can hear from the end of the room. Would it be possible to make such a small piano work like a real one? A guy I heard about made a life-size Harpsichord (It didn't sound the best, probably because it was big and made out of lego). I'm just wondering if the hammers would have to be made out of a different material, and how would the soundboard be made?
