So I assumed, but that was one BIG roach... never seen one that huge, and I've seen some pretty big ones *shudders* what a nightmare that adventure was....
@HottSpottedGecko9 жыл бұрын
Amber McEachern I'm not sure but I think that was a hissing cockroach, not my type of pet but it was really cool that it was taught it something, I never knew you could teach bugs anything. I guess we learn something new everyday.

Don't kill it just leave it alone! If you see one that is! Imagine you dying just because your ugly or people are scared of you! They would be more scared of u!

I´m ugly and the people ARE scared of me. Thats where i have the idea of a rocketlauncher from
@korouyin83989 жыл бұрын
Dragonspi3der You might kill the mouse with the rocket launcher (using the rocket launcher, u might blow up the whole house XDDDDD) and u might not kill the mouse with the shoe. XD

So cool! I'm getting a mouse soon :) Did you find you really had to work at it to get them to learn tricks? Are males or females better at learning tricks or does it matter?
@IseKhan12 жыл бұрын
LOL Love the smart mice and the surprise cockroach at the end! What are you using as treats? I just got 5 young white mice from a vet university that were going to feed a snake. I would like to train them as well, but I don't know what they would like as treat..

Killin living things is cruel! Imagine you dying just because some people think your ugly or they're scared of you! Just put a piece of paper under it and put a cup over it then take it outside! If outdoors just simply leave it alone and walk away

luciansworld Yeah we were just joking. I save bugs and let them outside all the time. I do it too much sometimes.

amazing job! I have rats myself, but think mice are adorable also. love your little roach trick at the end :)
@MouseAgility13 жыл бұрын
@muddytounge hi! usually, mice do not like to be stroked at all - unless they are extremely tame! so you eventually make it worse every time you try to stroke her. but you could build up trust by giving her treats from your hand instead. if your other mice are already tame enough to take treats and sit on your hand, jealousy and curiosity will do the rest. ;)

These your mouse/rat/roach agility and trick videos are so cool! (Especially BrainsStorm in that longer course) I've raised rodents (mostly hamsters and rats) in earlier years and I've always known small rodents are rather smart animals (maybe not hamsters ...their laziness beat their smartness) but I've never thought you could teach them doing agility courses and other tricks. If I ever get hamsters or rats again I definetly need to teach them do some spins and fetch a ball :D
@shadow041411 жыл бұрын
ive had mice before and for some reason i feltlike getting another so i went to petco and picked one up. I watched ur video and it inspired me. I just made a whole obstacle course like your made out of popsicle sticks and hot glue. How can i train them to do something simple like the hurdles or the plank that goes up and down (the first obstacle ur mouse did in the course in the video)
@beebop9713 жыл бұрын
@TheMsMOUSEified hi! Im not really sure if this would work, but i know that the tops of pickle jars or maraschino cherry jars have the little clickers on the top to make sure the jar is sealed, and when you press on the little clicker,.... it clicks :D

I had no trouble training many rat groups to do these things, but for some reason I can't get my two mice hand-tame. I have a tame opossum and trained poodles, but the mice just run in terror. Is this a specific type of mouse? Mine are just run-of-the-mill cow-spotted that I grabbed out of a feeder (for snakes) bin full of albinos. I sort of resigned myself to never train them and they seem well enough to eat and play in the bathtub out of their cage, but they run for their lives from my hands.

I have 3 Fancy mice (Lana, Anna and Hanna). They are 'rescue' mice (someone dropped them off outside a petstore in 20 degree weather, what a jerk). I am currently working on trust with them. I've been mostly talking to them and placing my hand gently in their cage with a treat to show them I won't hurt them. (Only let them touch me if they want). Any tips on how to make this process easier on them? I don't want them stressed and I'm unsure how they were treated previously.

The problem is rather than if it was ment for a dwarf hamster, it will probably be too small. Wheels for mice have to be much bigger than most people think, at least 25cm.

Hello. I have 4 hamsters and I am so knowledgable about hamsters that I know more than what the book says. I'm one of those youtubers with the hamsters and stuff, so that's why. I also have 4 female mice. They are clever, but they are not trained. I want to train my mice even though I had them for a while. Where do I start? Quick question... Do you speak German or Dutch? I'm just asking you because I can easy go on google translate and translate my words in your language to make it easier?
@MouseAgility14 жыл бұрын
hi! mice are not dependent on humans at all (e.g. in contrast to dogs), so their motivation is NOT to do you any favor, but to earn a reward (i know it's unromantic ;-)). i use clickertraining (=operant conditioning, the way e.g. dolphins are trained). This method works for ANY animal, even for cockroaches.

Thanks so much for answering! I put them in the tub by putting the whole cage in and sitting on the floor or in the tub quietly and waiting for them to come out and play with all the cardboard tubes and things ive put in the tub for them. Then when they get sick of running around I close the cage and clean out the tub. They run for their lives whenever I feed them or change their bedding or take their toys out to clean them. They also shove bedding at my hands which is kind of funny in a sad way

what do you use as treats because i tried to train my mice but they dont take my treats. they do trust me but they dont like the treats. i tried worms and peanutbutter, peanuts and bird seads.

Laura De Rek you should try something like seeds of any kind, I guess. And maybe some fruit :> (I never had a rat pet since I have this phobia to rats, though watching these kind of videos make me feels less insecure of them 😂)
