@@Maven0666 the only thing I've ever seen is a class A with a wheelchair lift or potentially using a toy hauler with the back door opening downward to be used as a wheelchair ramp. I'm not aware of any other handicap options I've seen in the RV industry but if you have seen things please feel free to share. Thank you!

This is what rockwood/flagstaff are really good with putting a 50 pound box in a 10 pound sack. Under 40ft, 3/4 ton towable, with every feature the bigger more expensive units have. When it comes to a rear kitchen mid live plan they nailed it. When I saw this come out It became one of my favs if my parents didn't want small this is what I'd show them👍👍

Only 2 things I’d add is going to a 6 point leveling system & well I don’t know how I feel about 2 separate dumping areas. But I’ve got a feeling those aren’t total dealbreakers cause this unit is awesome!

My 529RBS has two dump connections too...I hate it but only once per trip LOL. Ours has two bathrooms so I couldn't be avoided, but the features, layout and above all the stunning quality of Flagstaff makes up for ANY shortcomings...which are very few.

Really like that set-up. Great storage and I like the kitchen dining separated from the living area yet still social. I'd prefer the queen bed just for ease of movement around the bed. Now put it on a flatbed frame and I'd go to love it. I realize you lose that underbelly storage but I guess it's what your preference is. Thanks Brian & Jim!

We have this exact model floorplan that we bought from (at the time) Fun-N-Sun RV (now Bish's) in Ludington! The only difference is we have the table and chairs instead of the U-shaped dinette. We absolutely love this floorplan, and wouldn't change anything about it. Our Flagstaff 8529RKSB is setup on a season site so we are full time living it in for the season. Plenty of storage, and the perfect size, especially if we decide to start traveling with it in the future.

Ok, so this is a fifth wheel that might just change how I look at fifth wheels. Holy moly it’s practically perfect in every way! I wonder: could we replace the king bed with a queen? Would the platform stick out or anything? We have an adult child who camps with us sometimes - this one gives plenty of space for everyone to spread out and relax, but doesn’t take up too much space with sleeping accommodations for the sometimes-camper. This is definitely one on the short list!

Yeah the standard bed is a queen. The base under the mattress is queen sized as I recall. So even a King model can size down

I really like how this 5th wheel is set up. The living room is not in the kitchen. Most RVs I have seen the living room is in the kitchen. Where you can not see the Entertainment center when someone is in the kitchen or the Entertainment center is in a corner and you have to strain your nec to see the TV. Thanks Jim! Josh...I gots all excited when I saw this! I loved it...until...just kidding. Maybe I'm biased but it IS a Flagstaff (Rockwood), and that says it all right there! The quality, fit and finish of my '21 529RBS has been stunning! I love how they still managed to give you 'side-stands' with a king bed, something many even higher-end brands don't bother doing! A king bed in a slide and STILL somewhere for your glasses and cell phone...and power outlets to plug it into. I love my radius shower in the master bathroom but wish it had the integrated seat! Mine has the same interior (Newport Ash) but the lighter furniture...it was hard to see the colors in the order guide...a better guide/brochure with clearer, better and more pictures would be one thing (of very few things) they could do better. I got the champagne exterior, so much nicer than white...every RV seems to be white. This basically has everything an RV should have, from slam-latches to the Nautilus docking station...and a cold AND HOT spray port! 10 out of 10...this would be in our driveway had we not needed the second bedroom and half bath! Oh...with a two-way fridge of course! 😄 The turning point hitch is amazing! Period. Any 529RBS's in stock? Would love to see what you think of that one!

I like the bar seating, but you are right about the U dinette only seating 3-4 comfortably. I wish someone would make a totally different dining setup. Have a wall of counter height cabinets with a bartop extension/overhang countertop with barstools instead of a dinette. You'd still have the storage, but could also appreciate the campside view directly. Not sure if I explained that clearly...

Out of all the 5th wheels you've shown us recently this is the one I think would fit us best... The size is right, the weight is perfect for a well-built 3/4 ton truck, and the floorplan just makes sense. My only ask? Can you show us the forward technical compartment on these? We plan to full-time and that 'garage' is going to be a key piece of how we decide what rig to go with. Thanks for sharing this rig and thank you, Jim, for helping Josh out.

JOSH!!!!!!!!!! You HAVE to find the 2023 update to this floorplan, called 8291CL!! WOW. They placed the tv/fireplace where the bar is. The TV is suspended from the ceiling on the back of cabinets with an opening to the kitchen below, then the fireplace below. Gorgeous! Still the 10.7cf fridge which is WAY too small for a fifth wheel of this size.....They need to put the new 19cf 12v fridge back there and give a pantry in the campside slide....

Actually at a park the showermizer is still helpful because when it's cold and how FAR the hot water heater is from the shower you don't fill your gray and still get nice start off hot water

Love it. How's the headroom going up the stairs? I'm 6'4 and not really good at remembering to duck lol This model checks off a lot of boxes for me. Uncle Josh - I love watching your vids, I recently purchased an old 30ft fifth wheel to break into learning how to do this stuff. (Towing, backing, parking, and DIY) I've since learned how to deal with a lot of stuff including water heaters, fridges, and landing gear. I can also park this thing pretty much anywhere I want and backing it is a cinch! I'm learning what I want and what I don't want - I intend to full time and I'm alone (but wouldn't mind if there was room for 2) but what I really want is an office, not just a shelf for a laptop - like a bunk room that was converted to an office with a desk with no less than 24 inches depth to sit at. I work remote 100% and intend to roam around the country a bit. Any recommendations to look at?

Man there's so very little that does that. Some brands like cedar creek offer a desk option in some floor plans but currently the industry has very few FACTORY supplied solutions

@@JoshtheRVNerd Ok - that's kind of what I'm seeing. I took the dinette out of my Copper Canyon and put in an electric standing desk and a nice chair - so far it works amazing. I couldn't see myself ever sitting in that little dinette, i'm 6'3" about 230lbs and that dinette just isn't a comfortable option. But I also yanked out the tiny little recliner and put a full size one in. Seems I'll probably keep going that route and when I upgrade I'll buy a freestanding table and chairs and just replace it with my desk. I love that one RV you sholwed that had the bunk room/office although I'd want to take the couch out and put in a larger desk.

Hi Josh, this does not have to do with this particular video but I have a question and I know you'll tell me straight. A month ago bought a 2020 outback 300mlk, wife thought it was greatest thing ever, me not so much. Now finding little things through out and fixing as we go. Now she says in a yr she wants to trade it in. Currently payoff at 39,450. What do I need to get the payoff down to to be able to trade it in of how expensive a 5th wheel do I need to buy to have a dealer say yay I'll pay that off. Thank, injoy your videos.

Hi Tom. There’s not a direct answer to this. It’s all situational and depends greatly on both what your comfort level is and what a lender is willing to work with Because it very so greatly there’s not even a generalized guideline I can provide you

250 should work. Just keep an eye on the payload. There’s a few out there with very low payload readings you want to watch out for

@@JoshtheRVNerd I'm looking at a f250 with single axle and 8' bed...but with a 4.30 rear differential (max payload) and a v8 diesel engine. I've come to terms that the trailers I really want are going to require at least an F250 so, I'm going to for broke on the towing capacity of the beast.
