Isn’t that showroom outstanding? I loved it so much that it inspired me allot on my new greenhouse extension. Frank Smith has an amazing eye for design and very detail oriented. The sea of orchids in there is just a gem.

My first time going to Krull Smith was their April show, so you can imagine how blown away I was when I stepped into their new showroom! Bought myself a Phalaenopsis bellina 'Krull's Perfection'. Bar far the most money I've ever spent on an orchid, (any plant for that matter😅) but I was on the hunt for a really special phalaenopsis with this trip and I think I was successful.

After going to the orchid show today, I told my mother that one day, I would love to have a greenhouse like the new K-S showroom! It looks amazingin person! Love how big it is now! Still gets crowded for the show, but so much easier to get around in there now! 😊❤

Hi Lynn. There are so many shows here throughout the year. In Spring Krull Smith will have their Spring fair. It’s one of the best ones. Tons and tons of flowering orchids to choose from. They also have other nurseries around like Ecuagenera and Orchids In Bloom. By the most part I’m usually announcing upcoming shows at the end of my episodes. There’s also Tamiami Orchid Show in January and the Redland Orchid Show in May.

Such a shame that so much has been lost in nature and still continues today. I agree that the growers are an integral part of the continuation of species that are in danger of extinction. Frank Smith dos an amazing job at doing that.

Julien's lesson on bulbophyllum colors and labella was fascinating! Thanks for the free mini lecture! In exchange, I thought I'd share my own tidbit (science nerd alert 😄). The spores from the lycopodium ferns (22:07) are highly flammable, and you can find a spore powder being used for throwing fireballs in science museum demonstrations.
