It’s so wonderful to watch how they use their tummy’s for a table and a crib! I have shucked oysters for parties, took me hours, these nimble clever tykes do it in minutes . And then how they let their babies sleep on their stomach! Otters are so clever and adorable.

OMG the Singapore otters, and there are a few rival families , amazing ! The interaction between crows and otters, is just mind blowing. How smart both animals are , how quickly the learn and strategize.

Oh hell, all animals are fantastic, adorable smart and so precious. They all tug at my heart strings , especially the babies. Cant possible say which is my favorite, but that red panda is a looker !!!!! Cagnt get enough of PLANET EARTH, NATIONAL GEO, LOVE NATURE and BBC EARTH SERIES. Now if anyone deserves Oscar’s ,Academy Awards it the photographer s and filmakers/ videographer. They are the gifted ones. Thank God for these nature shows , as lately there’s garbage on TV and cable.

In an anthropomorphic view, it looked absurd & unnecessary for otters to bother a caiman for which they were eventually forced to pay a huge costly price. Was it a potential threat for young family members? Difficult to interpret.

@@crayonzii "territory" is an idea that is of importance. Given presence/involvement of 2 victim cubs, it could be a caiman came close where they live inadvertantly. At first, I took it for an adult harassing or teasing, not of a serious business. Uncharacteristically, BBC might miss a point there. Interesting comment!

The crazy thing is the numbers that they kill Cayman compared to the Cayman killing them. It’s a lot higher. The otters killed them a lot more often than otters get killed. Shame was, but that’s part of life.
