For the 8 Ball in the block, my guess is that after the block was milled it was boiled/steamed to make it flexible enough to allow the ball in.
@Benoit-Pierre2 жыл бұрын
Yes, not a Guess.all wooden tricks are done with white wood immerged in hot water. You recognise them with the very large stripes. They grow fast and use water to build thick layers. Hard woods have narrow stripes. They grow slowly and build thin layers.
@c0wsg0m002 жыл бұрын
@@Benoit-Pierre Not sure if i want to spoil this, all i will say is the ball was painted after the creation. and is made of the same wood as the frame.can be done with metal.
@c0wsg0m002 жыл бұрын
Hmm i should check before i type, my bad you are probebly right. the way i was thinking is to carve the ball inside. but i think thats a cube inside round holes.
@Benoit-Pierre2 жыл бұрын
@@c0wsg0m00 carving in place is an alternative to hot water in current case. Both are working methods. But carving is more suitable to hard woods which is known to be incompatible with hot water. Considering large grain, hot water is easier. Especially if it's a real ball. In particular I did not notice any wood grain below the paint (spent less than 1s on this matter ). Producing perfect finish on white wood is time consuming. =» carving possible but hot water easier with this wood.

4:57 This is like the "infinite chocolate" trick where you cut a chocolate bar in a certain way and get an "extra" piece of chocolate every time you do it. Both final rectangles may look verry similar because of the geometry of the smaller pieces but the second final rectangle is smaller by exactly the area of the "extra" piece. The "extra" piece is so small in comperison that you hardly can see the difference with the naked eye. However, If you would measure the sides of both final rectangles you would find, that they are infact not the same size. It's a neat little illusion created by geometry.

Maybe for the 8-ball, they forced a tree to grow around it to where it was completely inside the tree. Then they cut off that section of the tree where the 8-ball was. (after cutting down and opening up the tree) After that, they drilled the holes so you could see it.
@stevenhoog12 жыл бұрын

Hi, I saw one of your videos a year ago where you showed an interesting tealight holder in an arch-like setting capable of keeping two tealights, one on each side. Once the candles are lit, the whole setup starts rotating including the two tealights. It was based on a bimetallic strip not like the usual hot air-based tealight holders in which only the carousel rotates due to hot air moving up. Any chance you or anyone else here can point me to that video/product? Thanks in advance.

Coin Escape Puzzle: physics brain teaser- remove the coin without breaking the container or using any tools other than your hands. Centrifugal force really. To solve it, hold the circular clip. Then u spin it. Centrifugal forces make the metal balls go to the outside of the plastic circle. Then because the coin is in the middle, it will not be affected and fall right out. That is my guess anyways.
