I never knew how creative casting metal was. Sand casting is complicated. It also has a kool little dance packing the final top mold a lot of times😊

....but correction - we lost the worker at @29:46 and there's rumours that he could have got sucked into the the shaft hole @30:07 which appeared by itself on the way to the machinist.

Probably a ships fore cog to drive oil pump water pump and a few ancillaries. Had one like this shatter on me back in the 70s. Having to replace it in the middle of the med. was fun rolling and pitching and that thing dangling on a winch. Heating it up whilst cooling the shaft. A lot of pinched fingers ❤

Those are difficult and dangerous conditions. The last part in packaging. Do not put the metal part without any coverings as it would rub against the inside and scratch the polishing. ( As produced is moved around and also transported)

Everything home made, including the millions of new mouths to feed every day. If something heavy needs to be shifted, put two sandal soled legs under it. Have they never heard of those bristly things with a long handel, or do they like to go home with metal splinters in the soles of their feet. How far did the guy with the wok go to keep running about with sand, did nobody tell him to fill a barrow and wheel it to the work area ?

Да, производство примитивное... .Не видно формовочных машин ,все руками. Формовочный песок таскают а тазиках.Много работы ручной у обрубщиков.В наших литейках,засунули бы это зубчатое колесо а ванну и парочкой разрядов тока высокого напряжения , выбили все стержни.Обрубщики отрезали бы прибыля и в механический цех.Интересно что все рабочие бегают в тапочках. И формовщики ,и обрубщики ,и стропальщики-все в тапочках😮 ,а литейка - опасный цех.Сразу вспоминаю наши шикарные ботинки, с металлическими носками.Только карусельщик, в кроссовках...Грустное видео...
