Well, I have had my Redbubble store for a while, but not given it real attention, I was busy with Amazon and Teespring. I am glad I left Redbubble till now and looking at my store I am closer to Daria Smith shop, but far off the mark. Hi again,Shimmy! I liked this and found it valuable. I agree with the other suggestion about making more informative stuff about how to set up a good store. I also think that since you are obviously such a nice guy, it would be better to rebrand your themes as “how can we make your stores/ designs/whatever BETTER” rather than “are they any good” bc that makes us want to put people in the yes or no pile (since I feel you want to encourage everyone not make some ppl feel bad). I get the feeling that you’re not the type to make anyone feel bad about themselves or I would not have suggested it. It’s just a small point. Have to work out a catchy jingle though! I found it somewhat difficult to use the collections on Redbubble vs using stores on Teespring. So, are collections useful from an SEO perspective or is it mainly for display on your own shop so people can sort easily?

I think it's mainly good for an aesthetic point of view but I can imagine categorising your designs could be good for SEO as well.

There is a way to sort of partner with, via an agreement with Redbubble, companies that hold certain copyrights and trademarks. Not sure how that works, but it's worth becoming familiar with. I'm trying to do all original work, and steer clear of spinning off from some one else' creations.

I actually find sites like redbubble incredibly frustrating because, like in the example you gave of Pokemon, there are so many stores that focus entirely on copyright material that people with original designs are ignored. If you look at the things people search for nearly all the searches include popular characters/cartoons from films, tv shows etc. Redbubble doesn't remove these because they know they can make money off them. Unless you have a really popular design that matches a current trend, chances of your work being found are very low.

I think for a first video, the compare scenario works well, but I feel doing the same each week/ month would be tiresome, it would really be the same old same old, brilliant & bad worse to best... slaughter/ praise. I think what would be a better idea is to offer reviews on fans Redbubble pages, have them somehow added to an ongoing list, giving constructive criticism & hints & tips on how to improve, pointing the shop owner ion the right direction, even point them to past videos or mention you will create a tutorial on exactly how to make a good banner for your redbubble shop & so on. This will, of course, add additional content & views. I know you have Adobe, but so so many cannot afford such a premium a further suggestion to add to your belt notches would be to show viewers on free software like Photopea & or the more affordable Infinity Designer (my choice at $40 ish one-off payment) it is an incredibly affordable program which is really good and challenges Adobe & their market pricing.
