An awesome series of vlogs thanks IB and Andy. My girlfriend and I have visited Slovenia a bunch of times, it's such an amazing place. I've looked down from the bridges over the Soca to see epic marble trout - super phyced to see you catch some. We haven't been this year or last - a trip has to be planned for 2021; maybe I'll manage to do some fishing! Next time you go there are some other things you should make time for: brown bear watching (unreal) and walking in the julian alps - not to be missed. I was also due to be down fishing on the Derbyshire Wye and Dove a couple of weeks ago but restrictions meant it wasn't possible. Another one for next year.

Brilliant ending to an awesome trip. Great mini-series. My thoughts whilst watching it. 1) the pool down from the bridge had a lot more water in it than I’ve seen before - especially how low the rivers elsewhere were. Good to see you struggling in the mud and weed as I did. It certainly adds an interesting element to the fishing. 2) Fishing upstream of the bridge; I was waiting for you to go for a swim. Those banks are so steep and trying to land fish is like the Derbyshire Wye - an extending net makes it much easier. 3) Your roll casting is fab. Mine sucks. Uros has the patience of a saint trying to teach me to roll cast to those fish through the trees. 4) That last Grayling was stunning!! Classical Bistra fish. Kudos. 5) I agree the hotel is a superb location and just the right level of comfort and flexibility for fishermen. Super nice staff. 6) interesting observation about the lack of Brownies. I’d not thought about it before but I seem to remember catching more Brown on Krka and Radovna. 7) Didnt get chance to comment on previous video, but; IB. That Marble? Kudos!!! Beauty of a fish. Top job guys! Thanks for sharing your adventure with us.

This was great, I love how you edit the video, you dont leave out the frustrations of finding the right fly and repeating the casts again and again. I wish you would show the fly on camera after you change it, with a little comment why you picked that one and so on. Other than that a great series and I hope you will return to Slovenia soon :).

Hi Trevor, thanks so much for the kind comment! Looking back I maybe wish we had focused on the flies a little more, but there was so much going on! In terms of dries on the last day the only one they ate was a sz20 cdc and elk caddis, the nymphs, we used quite a few I think, mostly stuff you'd have in your I'll fly box to be honest!

Hahaha... I'll just add a little fuel to that conversation, and tell you that i go fishing in slovenia every year for 6 consecutive years and i'll keep on doing so... I can not get enough... Small hint, look for the river savinja, i'm a beginner, and caught dicent fish there, and many of them (beautiful upper part around luce). Keep doing great work!
