Art has no value until someone determines it so. Basically, its all subjective. But, most of the time good art is valued on the story or emotion that it is trying to capture. Historic events or paintings that capture the essence of a scene or a particular figure. The reason why something like this will never be deemed "good" art is because its not unique. People are shitting them out all over the world using the same methods and structure... its like shit electronic music these days. All "methodology" but no "artivism"(i use this word loosely) or emotion. It just looks cool. But so do oil slicks and Ferraris.. No stab at this guys work, its great work.. talented at his speed, but it is relatively easy to learn and do But what if i said to him to paint me an emotion?

I agree with Fin. This is mass production and these paintings are an example how to find short cuts to make something look decent to even great. In the end it's all about the pace and the quick bucks by using templates and predestinated spacethemes. For those who don't have any understanding of art or if they lack any artistic skill, this is easily 'great' and they are easily 'impressed'. But for those who really do this as a profession it's a bit of an insult. But hey, creative is creative. Respect for that. But really, does this artist care for the money, or for the joy of being creative? I would say the money. And that shows.

Watching him do that paint was so relaxing, I could watch it all day long. I would love to have one of those paintings if I ever get to the big city. I'm surprised he was not wearing a mask.

You can find any other artist doing exactly the same in any touristic city. It's always the same, planets, buildings and birds or dolphins xd it's a classic.
