This is a compilation I put together of all the steam engine wheel slips that I have filmed over the years, I am sure I missed some as I have been filming for 25 years. This took over 25 hours of editing and searching through the footage to put together, enjoy!

They have very steep grade on curves and i've been there so many times, so that is what I have more video of than anything.

@@baldwinloco12 Those locomotives (and all the other locomotives in this video) need rubber tires. Solid rubber tires will completely eliminate, or greatly reduce, wheel slip because they'll give the locomotives better grip and traction on the rails.

Those Serengeti Express trains need sanders BADLY! They have extremely light weight compared to other Narrow Gauge 4-4-0’s around the country.

It is not advised to use sanders to stop wheel slip you can damage valve gear and even pistons rods

I hate to see damage, but I need to find the video (I think it was from the Rocks Train) where they were slipping all day, and by the end they had leaking flues at the firebox tubesheet and the connecting rods and wrist pins were noticeably louder.
