Keep grocery fishing bro! For the blood issue, try clipping the gills as you take them out the livewell or before you drop them in your bucket of ice. Snow white fillets for days!. From the 'Sip.... peace ✌

You're right as soon as I catch them I cut the gills and toss them in the cooler and yes definitely clean white meat no bloodline

Fishing Ken, I am glad that you took the time to address that comment. You grocery fish not trophy fish. No there is nothing wrong with keeping two pound crappie. We as fishermen catch clean and cook our legal limit.

I’ve been frying crappie my whole life and never heard of the mustard binder, or garlic powder and lemon pepper seasoning. Interesting-I’m going to give that a try! Great video. 👍🏻

Thanks for the video. I understand "catch and release", but growing up there was no such thing. We caught fish so we could eat fish. I do practice catch and release at times, but I'm with you - I grocery fish most of the time!

I’ve used mustard on pork ribs. But I use mayo as a fish binder since mayo has eggs in it. Ever tried mayo as a binder? You can even thin the mayo down with 1/2 water.

I'm like you, the bigger the better. I throw the 10 inch crappie back unless im really fish hungry. Not enough meat on them. I usually only keep the ones 12 inches or bigger.

Yo ken, on my big crappie like that I save my back bones and cut the fins off and fry it. You just pull and peel the meat right off the backbone! It’s not much but it keeps me from eating up my fillets
