Background music is too loud and drowns out what is being said. Beautiful scenery though.

Vacationed here every summer as a kid. Less as an adult. Now retired and we spend summers on the NY side. Have considered buying a river front vacation home but NY property taxes are beyond ridiculous. We can rent for four months for less than the annual taxes. And they wonder why the NY villages are losing residents in droves.😢

Hopefully you can get back some more and reconnect with the islands.

Great tips you have there. I really need a holiday trip now! The view is incredible, and I would love to try milking a cow haha! And visit a castle! Such lovely blue water, I'm long due for a vacation!

I think the world in general needs a break from reality those days! And the Thousand Islands are waiting for you when you can.

Great video! How many days does this take if you're not going to visit the US side?
@WanderingWagars2 ай бұрын
@@sweetstufff Thanks! That really depends on how in depth you want to get. If you want to visit the mainland, half a day is fine. But if you want to explore the islands by boat and camping, I’d recommend two nights at least.

Before 9/11 never needed passports to go on any island. Been to both castles many times on school trips. I live in Brockville which is the start or the end of the islands which ever way you want to look at it. Lol Morristown NY is directly across from Brockville ON I remember paddling across to buy cheaper beer and then paddling back. Took maybe 30 mins to do all that. Lol

Where to stay the night with family?
@WanderingWagars Жыл бұрын
There is camping in Thousand Islands National Park and there are excellent hotels in Kingston and Gananoque that are perfect for families.
