This is Kaigal-ool Khovalyg, the pillar of Kargyraa which is this specific throat singing. He is the only true master of kargyraa and of course khoomie and sigyirt. Huun Huur Tu just the best khoomie band ever created!

The first time I heard throat singing was 1993, and I had just bought två CDs with Huun-huur-tu. Sitting in Sweden and remember past lives as a mongolian old man and one life as an Altaian Princess, Shaman and storyteller came as a chock to me. But since then much more memories have come to me. Its amazing. 🐎❤️

I've been aware of Tuvan throat singing for about 10 years now, introduced through Huun Huur Tu. Kaigal-ool Khovalg is an amazingly mastered practitioner of the art. You can hear his normal singing voice and then he shifts into a variety of tones. And the animal sounds from Orphan's Lament, too.

There are 4 or 5 types of Tuvans in three Asian Countries, the Tozhu Tuvans & the Dukha are Endangered Languaged Reindeer herders, the Chinese Tuvans are also found in Xinjiang Province in China, the Endangered Khovd & Tsengel Tuvans are also in Khovd & Bayan-Ulgii, Mongolia are became Livestock Shepherds, Buddhist & Shamanistic People & does not have any recognition & speak more submitive language but not like Mongolian & even Tsengel Tuvan School Children learn Mongolian & English, the most famous of all & very iconic that You are & the Alash or many members of your own kind, are the Western or the Common Tuvans lived what is now the Altai Republic & your home state Country is what it also "Tuva Republic" in Southern Siberia.
