I’ve been collecting parts for my 86 TRX250R since February 2022 and I’ve only got about half the parts I need to do my build. Now, if I didn’t have a fiancé and 5 kids to take care of it would probably be done right now, but it can definitely take a long long time to build a 250r properly. Between finding the right parts, for the right price, and hunting down things that are not made anymore or parts that companies only make so many of a certain part like the linkage rebuild kits, it can take a super long time. I’d rather take my time and do it right versus slapping it together with a bunch of chinesium bullshit. You got a super nice bike in your stable, hold onto it man. My buddy chuck brings his 86 and his Arens frame 250R’s out to turkey bay with me out at land between the lakes. I live in Clarksville TN, but if you ever want to get out and ride it with us you’re more than welcome to join us. I’m hoping that MAYBE sometime in 2025 I’ll have mine running. I’m doing an XC build and I’m planning on racing mine, and Chuck races both of his.

Bike unreal man I’m in love with it, this is how I got my banshee it was 100% OEM 75 year old man sold me it now it’s the main bike in my channel I would never sell it. Keep this beauty she’s gorgeous !!!!

Where are you from in Kentucky? I'm outside of Lexington in a small town called Paris. I picked up an 87 Suzuki LT250R quadracer, and I have found some parts for. Parts are not as available for it as the more popular honda 250r. I have found some new original factory plastics that are impossible to find now. I still need to find much more. I'm having trouble finding anyone that wants to do sandblasting and powdercoating. Your build is super nice though man. It looks beyond any build I have seen so far. I really like it a lot man. Great job.

Dont get me wrong this 250r is sweet but WOW $16k . Just think you can buy used 2019 YXZ 1000R for like $17k to $19k . Just saying

but that’s the thing, you’re not going to find a 250r like this anywhere unless you build it yourself. you can find used 2019 YZX 1000s without trouble.

Dont get wrong you did really good job on trx 250r I just didnt think it would cost that much I was thinking $10k to $12k ,when you said $16k I was little shock that is all. I remember in 1986 Sunday news paper there was a Honda sale ad I think with taxes it cost $2,500.00 for trx 250r . I was a teenage in mid and late 80's and I grow up with 2 stroke like CR,KX,YZ,RM and 250r in 3 wheelers and 4 wheelers . Now everything is 4stroke now
