The Turbonator® works great on the 12V, it makes it spool up much quicker, cleans the exhaust smoke up, increases power throughout the rpm band, decreases EGTs and improves fuel mileage.

Just register it in a CA county that does not do emission testing. Its what most track racers end up doing. Purchase a mailbox over the phone at a UPS Store/ Mailboxes Etc. and use that as your vehicle's registered address (not a PO box).

I have a 1998 12 valve automatic with a Holset HX35 (not the HX35W or the HY35). Will this VGT fit this turbo? It also has a new DPS, 3-piece, T3 exhaust manifold. I would be interested in the exhaust brake model. Thanks.

How is it controlled in a 12 valve application? I’ve seen the home brew potentiometer for a 6.0 turbo but I don’t wanna do that.

We have two options for controlling the variable stators. The first is a stand-alone electronic controller and actuator, which reads the boost and exhaust pressure from the turbo directly. The other is a mechanical actuator which references the exhaust pressure.

We don 't have a kit to bolt right on to the Mercedes om606 engine, however, a lot of other performance/racer cars and truck guys are now starting to put the Turbonator® VGT turbo on their applications. If you are able to do some modification work to connect the Turbonator® it should work really well on that engine!
