The area around the Isumi and Kominato lines is an American's idea of what "Real Japan" looks like. In 2020, when we were stuck at home during the Covid quarantine, we stumbled upon a drama called "Futari Monologue" with Fukuhara Haruka. I had never even thought of visiting Japan before, but when it showed the scene at the train station, I knew that somehow, I had to see it even though I didn't have a clue where it was. Since there was a glimpse of the train, we were able to translate some of the wording, and then on Google Earth we found out it was the Kazusa-Azuma station on the Isumi line. In the summer of 2023, we visited the very same place. It was so beautiful; I wish I could live there!

@@JapanTravelog Thank you! The 6 weeks I spent in Japan was the greatest adventure of my life, and we had the chance to travel by bus, train, airplane, and we even rented a car for 2 weeks. Though it wasn't enough time to get to know each region, we traveled from Sapporo all the way down to Nagasaki and back to Tokyo. My favorite places were the Setouchi region and Chiba, and I also fell in love with Akita as well. We discovered Nogizaka46's variety shows, and a big part of our trip was visiting places that most foreigners wouldn't have known about, but were featured (Minamiboso and Okayama being 2 more of them). Thank you for the invitation to see your other videos as well; for this Christmas, my son bought a VR headset, and we have been traveling the world (but it does make you nauseated if you wear it too long). I hope you and your family have a Happy New Year, and thank you for your videos!
