Incredible adventure. Sorry for the newbie comment but this type of flying seems to have much less workload than a small jet or even turbine prop. Really great for relaxing and enjoying the moment! I always thought i needed to go fast to enjoy flying, but I may have been wrong!

The mini me I wish I could plane at the end of the video. I didn't realize how small the kitfox is compared to the others but it is quite a bit smaller. I am hoping the weather gets better where I am at (KDEW), so I can go get my plane from around KPUW and start flying more again. Thank you for the great video. A missionary pilot friend in Brazil back in the 50’s made little fenders for his Piper Tr-Pacer to keep the mud off the fuselage and under side of the wings. The mud could clog flaps and affect wing efficiency🎉.

It's crazy cuz I was on lake Powell and it was 65 ft below normal and a couple months ago I was told that it raised over that to where everything had to be reestablished. Was glad to hear that California's not going to get a chance to abuse the water source

Been wanting a checklist box. Now you’re out. Will there be a Kitfox/rotax version without mixture & carb heat (not that a 150 unit wouldn’t work just as well, really). I’d use the mags slot for “start timer” for tank switching or total flight time, if you redesign for rotax. Or set AHRS attitude for ForeFlight (just in case). Nice tail wheel build. I look forward to seeing it in action.

Ryan could you list out your overall wind forcasts for a day of flying that are go and no go parameters. it just stands to reason the kitfox is so light that even 12 to 16 kts winds at aloft are show stoppers. I was just wondering what your thoughts and experience would be.

Nice adventure and shots of Lake Powell. I've been watching a recent series of videos on recovering a sunken speedboat in Lake Powell which has surfaced due to drought. They got the inboard motor running after being submerged 30 years in the lake, crazy stuff (Fab Rats).

Ryan, what is your topped up range in the Kitfox? On your 035ish radial at 360 miles is KSPK Spanish Fork. You should go visit Mike Patey & his hangar workshop. It would also be the BEST place to move your home base to. He's building new home/hangars....Moses

RYAN,HELLO, THAT STRIP IN UTAH,,good thing it’s winter,so mud is frozen+ some snow,that ENTIRE AREA IS MUD,there is a guy,MATTS OFF-ROAD RECOVERY,,from HURRICANE UTAH,they Ho out rescuing vehicles, out there ,last week a man drove a HYUNDAI ELANTRA,,,,RENTAL,ROCKS BUSTED THE CRANKCASE,LOOSING ALL ENGINE OIL was towed out Last year someone flying a C150 ran,out of altitude,forced down rocks,when to get it,wind blew it over ,upside down,, retrevial,was very hard, even with wings removed,, no roads up there and life hoes on, HAPPY HOLIDAYS TOMYOU and family, till,next time,,, 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
