I’ve sailed that harbor, walked all along that waterfront, and visited the USS Midway and stood on that deck. That was a truly amazing video - capturing the magic of flight. Great skill by the parachutist!

Absolutely LOVE this city! I was stationed there briefly in the mid 90s. Went home on leave, came back on July 4th. The glide path for the airport takes you right over downtown, and my plane was coming in to land right as the fireworks were going off. That’s a landing I’ll never forget!

Was in San Diego in April saw them jump in the morning. About 6 jumpers. A pair would hook legs together and chutes would be vertical as they rotated down losing altitude fast. They would let go and separate after a number of rotations. Wanted to pull the phone out and film but just watched and enjoyed the show. Never saw that maneuver before. Was taking the ferry across the bay from Coronado.

The pier where the Midway is tied up used to have a much larger two story building on it where tractor trailers could drive up and down ramps to deposit and retrieve material stored there. There also used to be a railroad spur going to the pier and access for cargo ships to load and unload heavy military equipment.

Wow the Midway is still around. When I was a kid in 1974 my friends dad was on it at Yokosuka, Japan. I couldn’t believe how small the sleeping area was.

Growing up at 10 years old my Dad Would take me on the ship. I could even sleep on ships. I would fish and bounce my lure off a nuclear sub. My Dad was a lifer then Sub contractor. My Mom was able to cruise in a LST from Hawaii to 32nd street. Wives cruise. Good times

Hey people I have a question.....how does Anyone get over thier fear of heights?? I have a fear of heights but I love to fly.....so how does one conquer this fear?? This was a very cool video and well done....but there is no freaking way that I could do this just for the fact that it would be hard for me to look cool with shit dripping out of my pant leg....just saying....but the perspective of this from his camera was amazing.....and for what is worth thank all of you for your service to our country....
