What is clear to me after having watched many videos from this and several other channels is that the Japanese people love filled buns! And I would, too! This isn’t at all what I’ve experienced in Wisconsin, USA, where I’ve lived all my life, which was settled in the southeastern part of the state (where I live now) mostly by German, Irish, Italian, and Polish people; in the far northwestern part of the state where I was born and raised, there were mostly people of Scandinavian descent (especially Norway and Finland) along with Germans and Irish. However, the bakery goods in every part of the state there are staples such as pies, cookies and custard-filled eclairs of various sizes (which I love!), and some fruit jam-filled pastries (which I don’t), and there are some scattered bakeries that only make Danish Kringle (which I also LOVE!!), but unless you go to one of the few French bakeries and patisseries, it’s all the same stuff. I suppose that’s also true of the bakeries in Japan, too, but without even having tasted it, I would LOVE the breads and bakery items I’ve seen and would much prefer what the Japanese have developed with the initial Western influence, rather than the baked goods I know I’ll find wherever I go here in Wisconsin!
