Harry's charisma looks and the way he presented himself is how you could see he could definitely be a star it's not just about the voice if it would be we would have tons of stars it's crazy how his voice sounded back then compared to now actually none of their voices was incredible compared to some other people on the show

Love 1D! Niall is my fav he was so confident (and correct) and he had such a great vibe!! Liam was fantastic (the strongest audition imo and I always thought he had the best voice starting out) Zayn had nice riffs Louis reminded me of myself!😊 Harry, isn't he lovely?? His voice certainly was! ♡

The one thing i got out of this videos is that the judges had such patience and such a great ear ear like.... we'll be honest most of the boys (except Liam RIP) had very mid to absolutely terrible first auditions but they gave them a chance to sing again and let them shine especially niall and harry their second songs were leagues ahead of their firsts and it just blows my mind that the judges listened to THAT and thought hmmm theres something here

Wow, Liam (RIP 💔) was the only one who sounded good and that's because he was not pushed through before he had some experience and time to work on it for 2 years. I'm actually surprised that they got pushed through. It was purely their looks because a couple of them didn't have any personality. This is the first time I've seen this. Thank you so much for putting it together. It definitely gives me some insight.

to be fair to them, they worked very very hard to improve and it paid off. they were also practically children at the age they auditioned, they have matured loads and so have their voices. I do agree though in terms of having the money and promotion backing the. without that they would never have been successful. but that’s also a double edged sword- look at how traumatised they are from their time in one direction

based on the first song he did, Harry definitely shouldn't have gone through. but the a cappella rendition of Isn't She Lovely was actually pretty good, one of the best 1D auditions imo. Niall probably only went through because he had a pleasant tone and was cute, kudos to him though, he's put in massive work and is probably only second to Harry in terms of solo music these days

Liam could sing anything but needed to find a sound he could own. His Christmas ballad and teardrops were his best songs and he should have went with that kind of sound
