the fact that Clint didn't think changing the DNA test wouldn't hurt Jessica shows just how much he truly cares about her because you can't hide something like that forever and he gave him the right to choose who gets to be a father or not and Rex had just as much right to know the truth about his father as well

Rex did know the truth about who his father was. That's why he lied. He knew the kind of man that Clint is and he didn't wanna be associated with anyone like that. So he just lied and said that Charlie was his father. He would rather Charlie over Clint any day. I felt so bad for Charlie. He didn't deserve to be lied to at all. Clint was really something during this time. He did some terrible things. He should've thought twice about this lie. The chain of events that this set off was insane. Clint lying led to Charlie drinking again, it led to him cheating on Viki with Echo, Tess came back, Niki Smith came back, Brody and Natalie got together. It was a mess. A whole mess.
