If you would have been North earlier you could've went through the Erie canal for trip south😮

@CruisingThisOldBoatАй бұрын
@@carpediemwithLesli - Thank you for watching our videos! I did not do a how to on the solar installation because I did not feel qualified and to be honest, I wasn’t even sure if I was doing it right. But apparently I did because it has been working great. You are not the first person to ask though so maybe I should consider a video on how my system is installed. As you state - just to provide ideas.

So how’s the MCClerran system been? Any issues this time of year finding fuel or anchorages. With all the rain we just received I wonder if the flow picked up.
@CruisingThisOldBoatАй бұрын
@@RLoose9494 - we have not had any problems finding fuel or anchorages. Our biggest problem has been getting fresh water frequently enough. We have been getting a push from the flood waters.

What is the distance from the Ohio river to the arkansaw river.
@CruisingThisOldBoatАй бұрын
@@patlockhart28 - once you turn off the Ohio River into the Mississippi, it is 382 miles to where you turn to go up the Arkansas River. Technically, you turn into the White River as there is no navigable entrance into the Arkansas River but you only stay in the White for about 10 miles before you take a canal over to the Arkansas.

This is a problem I see coming unfortunately. My wife has NMO, combined with a heat intolerance. 101° out walking around she wouldn’t do good. Funny one night we came in late after dark to the ramp to load The ramp was busy so I put in off to the side. My wife tried to climb off the bow and fell into a hole between the rocks. Fortunately a kind fellow boater jumped off his boat next to us and helped her climb up the bank. I was a terrible husband because I was laughing so hard while trying to mangage the boat and the dog that I was no help (she was in no immediate danger) just hip deep. All she was saying was, “my phone, my phone”. Anyways glad you’re all doing well sorry we missed you up in Muskogee OK we were not far away. Safe travels!!
@CruisingThisOldBoatАй бұрын
@@RLoose9494 - the temperature was hard for Marie as well but she struggled through it. With few marinas on the Mississippi at which to refill the fresh water tank you can’t wait for better weather. I don’t think you were a terrible husband, just a husband. I think it’s in our DNA to laugh at our wives’ mishaps because we so seldom get to see them mess up. 😉 We regretted not getting to meet you as well.
