You definitely can do this! We may not move as fast as we used to but we make up for it with extra thought and planning. It is a wonderful life!

Bangers and Mash is what we have here in England, sausages with mash and gravy. Interesting name for a boat:)

I liked the name and now I know the reference, thank you! I wonder if it refers to their favorite food, or how they feel after being out in a storm (banged up and mashed!)

Nice looking boat! Is she a BHM or Duffy? Sure looks like a downeaster. Aha, I just read your channel description! BHM 32. Hull by the great Spencer Lincoln. I had a Flye Point 28 for years. Most beautiful shear of any downeast boat. IMHO.

how much does it cost for 5 mouths storage....?
@LifeAt7KnotsАй бұрын
For our 32 foot boat it is $365/month, plus there are fees to haul and power wash the boat.

Can you tell me where this yard is located?

We kept the boat in Indiantown Marina which is about 25 miles west of Stuart, FL. Great place to keep a boat during the hurricane season.

Hi there. Could I ask you how much it cost you for long term storage there? I also assume there is a fee for in and out of the water?
@LifeAt7Knots2 ай бұрын
For a 32-foot boat it is $360/month and yes, there is a fee for in/out of the water. Our last bill was just under $1,000 and that was storage, moving the boat to the work yard and launching.

@LifeAt7Knots24 күн бұрын
@@sccharmed Perhaps look into a Willard 40 trawler. That's what we live on in CT during the summer and the engine room access is amazing, plus the headroom is generous, though I dont know the exact height. Also, the Krogens are another good choice.

Thanks for the tour of your boat and the boat yard :) I am selling my modular in a gated community in Ft. Myers and when that happens I will be interested in a 40-45 foot trawler with twin diesels preferably Ford Lehman's. If you come accross something please let me know and thank in advance :) Bill

OMG. What a BUNCH of Junk. Didn't see a decent boat amongst them all. And by the way, your use of the word "sturdy" is totally out of place. I can only guess but suspect you meant Seaworthy, but frankly did not see a single one that fit that definition. Again; a BUNCH OF JUNK.
@LifeAt7Knots8 күн бұрын
After sailing for the last 60 years aboard just about every type of sailboat every built, I prefer older boats that I feel are more solidly built. To me a sturdy boat is a heavy, full displacement hull that can take most anything the sea can throw at it. It is all a matter of preference and the right boat for the job.
