is it steal or aluminum? could be beefed up with some welds if needed?

I have watched your video and was like O crap, I just ordered the amazon LS puller you mentioned, I hope mine is better quality, but after watching other videos, and some mechanical experience, I believe yours broke due to leaving the crank bolt in and pulling on the balancer, and other words if you would have done everything the same and left the crankshaft pulley bolt out, and screwed your puller bolt to the crank snout, it would have came of with ease.

Hopefully yours is an updated product and you don’t have a problem with it. On a real “brand tool” you would not take the bolt out. The flat piece on the bottom of the tool would sit on the crank and allow the bolt to spin in the flat piece like a pivotal ball and would push in as the arms pull the pulley out. But on the JUNK that they sent out the flat piece is not pivotal it is threaded so as you turn it, the bolt just goes down through the threads and does nothing. So that is why the bolt was ran back in by hand and set out about a 1/4 inch so I could go a little at a time. Like you would do on other pullers. I hope they fixed the issue I’ve called and complained and reported through Amazon as a faulty tool that is worthless but there is absolutely nothing we can do about it due to the seller not taking returns. So I lost out and had to buy an expensive one anyway.
