this is really cool. I still have my Douglas fir tree . it's a shame they do not make anything like this today as far as I know. I am sure years ago I saw a talking penguin that has an Aux input that was like the Douglas fir . when I was a kid are used to make my own tapes to be played on the Douglas fir full . now the Douglas fir has a mind of it's own with Alexia! I had one of those talking trees when I was young. We had so much fun recording ourselves saying a variety of things onto a cassette tape and then hooking it up to the tree making it say what we had just recorded. It turned out to be so freaking funny. I wish they still made them. I have looked for them online but they don't seem to be made and sold anymore. I need to google for them again. It would be much more fun having one now because we could hook it up to our phones and make it say all kinds of funny, goofy, stupid things.

eh, it's not scary. not to me, anyway. iirc, the reason a douglass fir can be connected to things like that echo thingy, is because he used to come with an audio cassette. you could plug him into the cassette player and he'd play the tape while moving his mouth c: i'm not sure how rare the casette is, but i've heard it before. it's very cheesy. probably wouldn't intrest you.

databits OK. Well if the eyes do stop opening and closing, you will need a 10 tooth plastic gear to replace it with. On the motor, there is a 10 tooth gear it makes the eyes open and close. Same goes for the mouth. I do repairs like this all the time on my channel! I collect singing fish and other things like that

BARB!!!! The tree has an input on the back, Alexa Dot has an output on the back. Use a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable.

I can tell you how, so Alexa has a aux input where you can hook up to bigger speakers, and the tree has one as well except the aux for the tree is used for cassettes and cd players and phones, and you hook a aux cable up to them both and there you go
