Really good video. Wish I’d watched it before trying to put mine together the first time. Goes together much easier now that we’ve done it quite a few times. one thing I learned from the video is the pump sucks as well as blows, which I’ll use next time we deflate the dinghy to stow it, which should make it much easier to get in the carry bag. The dinghy is really good too. Ours’ has a 5hp motor which works just fine with it.

Thanks for making the video, and not fast forwarding the whole process. I really have a good idea about aluminum floor now.

Thanks for watching! The aluminum floor can be tricky the first time around. As you get used to it and as the dinghy stretches out it gets much easier.

OMG SHOW ME THAT KEEL, SON! I watched the whole thing to see the keel, which they dont show on amazon. Clearly it has an inflatable keel but what else is down there?

Not sure if you're ready for the mysteries that exist beneath the deck. It's an inflatable tube. Not a whole lot extra to see.

So far so good. We have 2 Bris dinghies and even after being left outside for most of the summer and fall they're still in good shape and have not faded. Seams are good and still water tight.

So still like the BRIS boat? Im looking at getting a 12.5, 1.2mm thick BRIS BSA380 for diving out of. Seeing how your liking yours...
@HufflerGarage3 жыл бұрын
Oh yeah. We have 2 of them and take them out at least once a week. Still holding up very well. If you get one, I would recommend not getting an outboard smaller than 9.9HP.
@cBelowH2O3 жыл бұрын
@@HufflerGarage Good to hear. Yea, was going to at least get a 9.9HP or 15HP. How does yours manage with a 9.9? Im not looking for fast speeds, nor do I want to pudder around..lol..

@@cBelowH2O 5hp will get you 10-15mph I believe.......Biggest rated motor is 10hp......so that's better if you're loading 4 people or Lots of gear...... 10hp Can be dangerous on calm water, since they Really get moving! The front end Will come up if you get stupid, Lol. 5hp should be plenty.....10mph is pretty good speed unless you're really advanced.

@@94SexyStang Appreciate the info!! I ended up getting a 20HP (boat I got is rated up to 25HP). Its moves great at 20mph - although I didnt get it to be a speed boat...lol.

Can you put two dogs in here? I have two labradoodles just wondering if the material is strong enough for them to put paws on them without puncturing?
@HufflerGarage3 жыл бұрын
The material is pretty strong. It would take a very heavy dog with very sharp claws to puncture it.

just got one, took me 3 hours to set it up. wish the manual indicated which side is up for the 2 side bars. and the floor broad kind of heavy not sure its a good thing or bad. which motor do you recommend?
@HufflerGarage3 жыл бұрын
If you look at the side bars, they taper with the pontoons when they are the right side up. I would recommend getting at least a 9.9hp outboard. We have 6hp motors on ours and they are underpowered.
@huanc79963 жыл бұрын
@@HufflerGarage thanks for the reply, I dont know how to work gas motors, such as the process for handling the gas and oil.
@94SexyStang2 жыл бұрын
@@HufflerGarage 5hp should be PLENTY to go 15mph.........i think your motor has a problem or maybe prop angle is bad!.......10hp is the biggest motor you can run, and probably overkill unless you have 4 people loaded on it........I know guys with 6hp and doing 15mph on these.

Yes it can! It comes with the manufacturer's statement of origin, which, at least here in NC, is all that was required to get it registered.

Thanks for the video. Now I know to never purchase this. It’s very poorly designed. The floorboard section is extremely flawed. The seats can essentially pop off if the water is too hard. It seems like the rubber boat flooring under the floor boards inflate which makes it a hazard if it punctures and fills with water. Having the paddles snapping in means they can snap out, not too mad too. They’re about short. Anyone under 5’8” maybe even 6’ won’t have arms long enough to comfortably use them. Not having a safety road completely around makes no sense as if someone falls off near the front they have nothing really to grab to help get them back in. The boat has a very bad design and I wouldn’t pay more then $300 for it. Heck the $500 boat from Costco is better then this.
