Its a good job for someone who needs money and a steady income for a while and during that time you work toward a better job or career. I am a driver for Amazon, I love it, yeah its hard work, but it is also great in many ways. I go out alone every day, nobody bothers me, I never look at the clock and think, how much longer, the time flies by, I am always running fast to end early if I can and each day is like a new round of golf, or some sporting event. you have a certain amount of time to drop off all these packages, they based it on your abilities, so the challenge is simple, stay busy, organize yourself well and get it done, if you do it right, it's fun and easy and you can do well until you find your path in life. there are a lot of better jobs out there, this is not a career, so definitely move on from Amazon when you can, but it is a good pace to learn a good work ethic and get in shape while making money.

And when you log into your Flex account it can only be used on 1 device at a time.... So let's say he did get up and help right? How is he gonna scan the packages? You HAVE to scan the packages to mark them as Delivered.... At best all he can do is run the packages up to the door and walk away.... which is NOT gonna help him Now if there was a way that he can also get a 2nd Rabbit (The phone Amazon provides you) and they both are linked to the route.... THEN that would be possible.... But you can only work off one phone at a time

I work out in Syosset. Today, i just did 357 pkgs and 152 stops. We don't have any step vans, or Rivian Vans, so we have to settle for the crappy ProMasters. The A/C is weak, there's no ventilation in the cargo area, so it's pretty much as hot as H*ll itself. Managers don't care if you usually finish quickly; if you're falling behind because of things out of your control (like traffic) then they still berate you. My DSP has this culture where *rescues* are frowned upon, yet the workload isn't evenly distributed. The quicker you are, the more work they give you; they scheduled me 4 days in a row, and by Saturday, I'm fatigued, but they don't care. You're just a disposal robot to them; if you don't meet their unrealistic expectations, they'll just get someone else. No sense in killing yourself for them when they think so little of you. I'm moving onto unionized freight soon; Amazon is just a stepping stone for the time being. Get out while you can. I'd never recommended it to anyone longterm, unless your goal is to start your own DSP. For $20/hr it's not worth it. Go to FedEx or UPS. The workload is there but at least you're appropriately compensated (moreso UPS)

There is no better feeling that accomplishing a goal you set for yourself. I thought delivery driving would be easier than warehouse. Man was I wrong! I worked in an Amazon warehouse for 2 years during Covid. The benefits and overtime pay were waaayyyy better. But the tradeoff is driving is a bit easier on the body than the warehouse, but productivity rates are more demanding and dispatchers will threaten to fire you in 2 weeks if you don't pick up the pace.

Its called WORK for a reason!! I'm 59...and this, son...is a cakewalk. Been there, done it. See, it's just that you've been coddled like a toddler your whole life, and not ever REALLY been worked!! Try working a 30 lb chainsaw in the woods in 90° heat, crapping in the woods, hauling our 130 lb 4-foot oak logs on your shoulders, covered in sawdust, and bitten by bugs all day...THEN you'll appreciate easy work like this! Or get down in that sewer for $10/hr...and clean it...

Push through bro I’m a delivery driver as well and all I can say is organize your packages when you open a new bag put your boxes together and your envelopes separate organize them by the 4 numbers on the sticker from smallest to biggest you’ll move quicker trust me we get 180 stops on the daily with like 18 bags and 40 overflows it’s not easy but if you organize your stuff right everything is going to be smooth💪👊

It’s hard work for sure. But it’s do-able. Each dsp is independently owned so some are probably worse than others. I started last week right in the thick of prime days. Some days the route is really hard some days not bad at all. I’m just thankful to have the work so far they seem pretty patient with me. Only had one nursery route so far but had the full enchilada the second day on my own.

15-year veteran from FedEx Ground, My only problem with Amazon is that we only work 4 days a week, and I watch all these videos over the past few years and I noticed that everyone only works three or four days a week.... I understand this strict on following the hours of service and regulations, doesn't mean they can't give me 5 days, It doesn't mean I can't work 5 days and then they have me come in as a rescue driver for a few hours before the time cuts short of hours of service.... At least get me in a little bit, But the money seems so small because the hours of service cuts us off, at least put in a placement where we can sign the waiver saying we don't want overtime hours, But 4 days a week and cutting it I ain't a teenager, I'm not acceptable for childlike money 500 weeks ain't cutting it😅😅😅😅

No a/c no “nursery routes” and we drop off anything from a gift card to tool boxes, trampolines, rims and tires, bed frames you name it. 40-100 miles a day,150-300 stops with 250-450 packages. THERE IS A REASON IT PAYS $37.00-$49.00 AN HOUR and that’s because no one would do it for chump change. As far as I’m concerned, if Amazon could pay Drivers/DOT drivers a little bit more than the current comp, AND UNIONIZE, it would be a decent company to work for

I started delivering for Amazon Oct 2019 right before Covid, then everything shut down, I had to pop a squat outside to pee. I delivered until 2021, I quit because my DSP refused to change my schedule upon request, I was working 6 days a week, 10 hrs. I burnt out. I just got hired for another DSP, told him I can only do 150 to 155 stops, I'm about to drop this weight. This job is not for everyone, it's hard asf, but no your rights, get your dolly during load out, read customer comments, your not supposed to get out your van if you see a dog. Organization is key too.
