Hi @piyushgargdev As you mentioned, when we created a new EC2 instance, the public IP address could change at any time since it's not a static IP address. So, we obtained an Elastic IP address for that reason. However, when we released that Elastic IP address, if we need to work the next day and we get a new Elastic IP address, will we get a new IP address, or will we get the same one we had previously? If we don't get the same one back, it’s similar to what you initially explained about the default public IP address changing at any time. The same thing happens with the Elastic IP address if we release it. What’s the benefit of using it then? So, my first question overall is: if we use an Elastic IP address the next day (which we had previously released), will we get the same one as before or a new one? If it’s a new one, what’s the point of using it if it also changes the next day?

He just shows you what to do if you are only for learning purpose. In real world, why would someone stop the instance as we could have our server set up in that machine and if we stop the instance, the users might not access the server.

If your fundamentals are clear you will eventually understand that. If you are watching this video you don't know some concepts that are needed to understand those configs and too much info can be overwhelming for beginners.
