I tried everything exactly as you said on this video and when I turned my kindle back on it still 2ont let me swipe up or down to get off th3 unlock screen, how long exactly should I heat up the screen with the hairdryer and is there any other tricks??? The manual buttons work (volume up & down, power) but I can now get it to swipe away from the lock screen...

My tablet says I'm connected to my WiFi connection but I'm not able to load/buffer anything. I can for maybe 5-10 minutes of being connected and it'll suddenly stop working, - but say I'm still connected. There's nothing wrong with my router as the other Kindle Tablets and other devices in my house hold the connection fine. I have no updates on my tablet. In all honesty I just think these tablets are trash and not worth buying... Get a Samgsung.

I'm have a problem too with the Wi-Fi going off. But when I pull down and press Wi-Fi and press it again I see the Wi-Fi says Saved ? Then it connects at that moment. But it still going off ? Tell me why it says downloading update, but no progress? And the manual update failed too. I downloaded the correct update. It was installing the update about halfway, then got an exclamation point and it restarted. Still have the original 2020 update.

Click on the internet connection and watch it connect...If it connects and then drops check to make sure the data has not been limited. Its right below the wifi icon, it says "Data Usage". Click on that. It should show how much data you used. View details and scroll down and select unlimited data usage. This shpuld fix the problem. Note that this option was provided for parents who want to limit the amount of data there kids use, or if you are on a limited data plan and want to limit the data on an individual device.

I bought 2 Fire 8 (10th gen) tablets. 1 of them works fine, the other one connects to wifi but says no Internet. All other devices in my home work fine. I've reset my router and modem. I've reset it to factory. Nothing has worked at all. Edit: I was able to resolve my issue. I connected to a different WiFi to check if that would work and it did. So I unplugged my modem and router one more time and then it finally connected with internet access.

Everyone suggests either heating it up with a heat gun or removing it resetting the touch connector and putting it back together (not all of us have heat guns Why after 6 + years of the same issue they haven't fixed this yet is beyond me

Somebody tried to steal my daughter's Kindle Fire. The dumbass obviously didn't realize that you can go to settings and deregister the device. They tried resetting the whole thing. But I got the device back before they could disappear with it. Long story short, my daughters Kindle (5th Generation) is now stuck on the screen that says Amazon when it first powers on and it does not move to a new screen at all.
