Agree. Sling with the Amazon firestick blows. I threw my remote across the room. Tv shows freeze and tv just cuts out. Bad quality also. It's not my internet.

What's weird, is that when I first put sling on my fire stick TV it worked fine for like 2 days, now I'm like on an infinite loading screen.

directv now app which im using i dont see any issues so far. they have good packages to choose from. or u can go with ledtv. three devices is $24.99 a month and u got alot of live channels and sports channels n ppv if im not mistaken and movie channels n channels from other countries

i am having the same issues, i got it just to put kodi (xbmc) on it and its doing the same thing as yours. i am glad to see im not the only one who this is doing it to. wish i knew what to do as well.

Might not have enough space left in memory on your fire stick and it also helps to disconnect the network and reconnect

Good Wifi signal and fire tv stick new not refurbished are used and you see the difference

maybe go to the sling tv settings and change the quality from poor to best quality n see if that helps

Did you buy a refurbished Fire Stick? That's your first problem, buy a new one then try again.

I think it's the Fire Stick, nothing to do with Sling or refurbished. We have 4 Fire Sticks and 2 Roku's, I only watch Sling on a Roku Player. I can sit for 15 minutes to eternity waiting to stream Sling with Fire Stick (on ALL of them), I switch inputs to the Roku and Sling works perfectly! The longest I wait for a stream on Roku is 30-40 seconds. We enjoy the Fire Sticks for everything else. They are faster than Roku Player and seem to have a better picture than Roku. The format is better on Fire because it gives you better titles and better info. It's a shame Amazon doesn't do something, they are aware of the problem but they hate to admit it, you have to rip the truth out of them. I bought one of the new version of Fire Stick on Black Friday and haven't tried it yet. If it's better will come back and report.

I tried to install sling on Fire Tv Stick 4k. Its not available on Fire TV Stick 4K. Is there anyway I can install it on Stick 4K?

Varun Paval Yes you can. I have Amazon fire stick 4K with Sling installed on it for almost a year now. I also am having issues with the buffering though. It can get really frustrating. But it’s a third the price of having cable TV. I have a love-hate relationship with Sling.

Also clear cache once a week, if not you have a faulty fire stick , refurbished suck. I bought one and it s Is Screaming fast seriously

Sling doesn't show firestick as an option on their website, only the Fire Box. This is probably one of the reasons, the firestick is slow

there is a time and place to be cheap/save money. Never buy refurbed electronics. you never said how fast or your internet speed is. That's why the fire BOX costs more than the stick is higher speed wi-fi and few other goodies.

Bro I'm having the same issue. It can't be my router or my internet connection because I've tested the connection and have 100mbs download. I'm starting to think the 1ghz dual core processor can't handle Sling TV? I'm thinking about getting the newer fire TV box that has a quad core processor which also has wifi AC instead of N and move the TV stick into another room.

I bought a fire tv box brand new just a few months ago and I'm seeing very similar issues. Video continually freezes and screen goes blank.

The processor is too tiny and weak to run live stream smoothly. Very unfortunate

Is your stick connected to Internet by wifi and your Mac mini connected by Ethernet (not that comparing a $25-$30 stick to a $600 computer is a fair comparison, anyway)? My stick runs far faster than yours, by my sight, but I have a TP-Link range extender right next to. It. Of course, my PS4 runs far faster, not just because it costs over $250 more than the stick, but also because I'm running Ethernet to it, from the range extender. Anywho, I think you might have gotten a lemon refurb, because I've never seen a Fire stick run that slowly, and the video streaming quality says to me that your Internet connection to the stick is bad, for whatever reason -- wifi, bad refurb, etc. That chunkiness of your video seems very much like its Internet speed is incredibly slow. One good way to check that is to look at playing an app (like Asphalt 8) that needs a lot of processing speed but little Internet speed, to run (unless you're playing a "cup" event or (other) Internet-dependent mode).

+The mini is not hard wired to the network it is on wifi. Just got the record and you're right I very well could've gotten a bad refurb. I've heard similar issues from others as well so I wouldn't hold my breath on it being just a bad stick. My internet is also plenty fast since it works on every other device just fine. I also have a Fire box in a different room that runs over Ethernet (because it can) via wifi through a range extender and Ethernet hub, and it runs just fine -- on par with my own, 2011, Mac mini, actually, which is Ethernet-connected straight out of my router, which, in turn, sits next to my modem. Also noticed that you said the video quality sometimes gets better, which also says to me that it's an Internet speed issue. You also mention iOS "apps," but I don't know what iOS devices you have and how they are connected to Internet. The idea is that you should do some trouble shooting, to find the problem, because there's not enough info on your video, for an outsider to tell. However, I can tell you that a good stick with a good Internet connection works just fine. Perhaps the best question is, why buy a stick, anyway, when you have a Mac mini, right there? If your wireless router is right next to your stick, I think you got a bum refurb. Anywho, I'd start by borrowing a dif stick...
