Now that I've had this Fojill and the Squier Debut Strat for a while, for the same price, I like the Fojill better. Of course, Amazon is selling the Fojill for $179 now.

I actually like the way those pickups sound. Might be an unpopular opinion, and sure I’ve heard better but for the money they certainly don’t offend my ears. I also would have expected tuning stability to be an issue. Can’t beat the price for a guitar that sound decent and stays in tune!

The tuning stability is even better with mine because it has split posts instead of the side loaders his has.

I'm still very happy with my sunburst one. Mine is the one that has actual split post tuners. I have a new loaded pickguard I'm going to install with alnico v pickups and upgraded pots and wires. I'm also putting in a Guyker big block vintage bridge with bent steel saddles. The VERY VERY FLAT radius of the neck does take some getting used to, but I actually kinda like it. I got mine on eBay for $110 with free shipping, and I'm actually going to order a second one because I ordered a mahogany Strat neck with a maple fretboard (and the Fender headstock) and I think it would be cool to have an all mahogany one (but I also want one that still has that factory neck because I really like it now.)

@@MotorRoseMusic Have you noticed the sustain with the mahogany body? Chords can sing forever, it's really incredible. I didn't know mahogany would be such a great tone wood.

Not bad. Fret edges are little sharp. The board edge is decent for this budget, fairly smooth. The WestCreek JX I got has a very sharp edge on the fretboard.

I think those frets are big as far as Strats go and i prefer gigantic frets.

The fretboard is extremely flat, though. It's a different kind of feel and takes some getting used to.
