I have seen many reviews, but not many that show the true size of this tent. If you are thinking about a hot tent, then definitely check this out. I will walk you threw and around the Onetigris Rock Fortress Hot Tent. For the price and how fast I got this tent (spoiler), it is well worth it and the perfect tent for a couple and a dog.
Enjoy!
Link to tent below. Hurry, it's on sale right now for $254.00

You are supposed to stake only 1door on each side put the middle pole in then stake out the rest of the tent

I think what he means to say, is that you stake one door, put the poll in, then stake the other door, then work your way around. The reason in the adjustable poll for the middle. It's suppose to be 3 holes down from the top, if you are higher or lower you change the geometry of the tent, doors won't close, or they will be too loose.

I bought one of these last year. I ordered the separately sold, inner tent for comfortable sleeping during the buggy season. Condensation should not be a problem with the stove running. The problem occurs when the stove goes out at night. Best way to handle that is make sure there is no snow or ice sitting on the tent outside before firing up the stove again or it will rain on you in there. 😬 I applied two coats of sealant for this tent on initial setup paying special attention to seams and zippers. It then poured rain for two days and no wetness occurred inside but DON’t touch the sides inside the tent. Keeping the two vents open Year round is a must. That is your condensation control. Finally you should really have a CO detector for this tent with stove running.

Hi Michael. This is all great info. I absolutely agree. I also did get a detector. I am going to seal it, and thanks again for the great tips. Be well, my friend.

I have been researching hot tents. I REALLY want one. I love to camp but here in Idaho (2 hours south of the Canadian border) it gets cold. So if I had a hot tent, I would go camping in winter. Only thing is is I can't afford what I want lol. What you have in this video is a good size for the footprint. The height is awesome! I wish there was a company that gives discounts to people on disability lol!!!! Anyways, thank you for your video. I've heard that the Onetigris wasn't great for the cold weather and looking at that condensation, I'd say I heard right. It would be good for warmer weather. Anyways, have a good evening and happy camping.🎉

You did it in the snow, by yourself. I needed help on a sunny lawn. Great job!

Matt, I intentionally did not look up any directions on how to set it up. I wanted to see if I could intuitively do it right from the instructions inside the package. And I was so focused on the snow that I was not paying attention to the actual directions. Once I took my time and re-looked at it, it was not that hard. I appreciate your support and watching, and I hope to see you back in the future. Be well, my friend.

Ok, so initially you had it staked out too tight? When we first stake the doors, do we stake them tight? Or leave some slack? Then erect the pole, then the rest of the stakes? Just curious because I ordered one yesterday. Thanks!

Hello Roger. I have found the best thing to do is start with some slack and work your way out. Just ensure you have enough tension to keep the center pole up. If you can walk off or measure ten feet from one door to the other, that also works. Good luck. It is a great once you figure it out. Thanks for watching. Be well, my friend.

I was very surprised to find out these don’t have bug screens. This means they are unusable for most of the year except winter. Seems like an oversight by the manufacturer.

You can purchase an inner tent for it which takes up half the tent. This has bug screens for hanging out in or sleeping. But no the doors do not have screens.

Because it’s a winter time hot tent. I wouldn’t want to use a hot tent in summer.

Hello, Different. Thanks for watching. Both of the replies are correct. I do think with the big screen insert. This could be a nice and roomy summer tent that would provide shade and have the doors open. You have so many options, and I hope you find what you are looking for. Thanks for watching. Be well, my friend.
