Also, the TONE COO is definitely Taiwan. Like you noticed, the the forging/design of the wrench head area is identical. You can find variants of this kit in several other brand names, like DEEN, Wurth, Facom, USAG, and more.

Looking forward to the review on the Anex stuff. I've also been curious for some time, but haven't pulled the trigger yet. I'm most curious about whether those pass-thru sockets can be secured with the c-clip when mated onto any other ratcheting wrench or regular boxed wrench. I have a feeling that it won't, since the ratcheting wrench Anex supplies with the kit looks to be very thin/low-profile. I would appreciate it if you can clarify that.

The difference between western and Japanese bits is a bit frustrating. If you want to adapt the Japanese one, put it in a pillar drill, spin it and use a dremmel to cut another slot.
