I use Amazon Music because it comes with my Prime subscription. I was even able to find 40s music. Their algorithm is good. Don't know why people still complain about not finding music on it. Maybe in the beginning, there wasn't enough music on it for everyone. But when it comes to their app, the UI/UX doesn't even compete with Spotify/Apple Music. They seriously need to revamp their app.

absolutely correct, I wish they would completely redesign their desktop, mobile, and browser apps. They developed it as a Voice-To-Play service, and it shows. It needs to have better features as far as integrations with current devices "now playing" and streaming to devices properly. For example, theres not a "stream to this device" button on the browser.

this transition has honestly been quite frustrating. Your Playlists are not working anymore the way you want. It plays songs randomly that are in your playlist or fit the general genre and mood of it. You cannot choose what to hear exactly anymore being a prime subscriber.

Not only did they fail to warn customers about what the infamous update would do (typical boilerplate to pretend it was the usual update), they also took away music users had already paid for and made it unavailable or shuffled! To add insult to injury, their CS people told infuriated customers this state of affairs was a glitch, and their teams were working to fix it. By doing this, people continued to purchase music. Now they are telling customers that the glitch was in fact their ability to listen to their own purchase digital content, that in fact the Shuffle change will affect EVERY song, including purchases. This is lawsuit-worthy MO by their VP of Music, Mr. Steve Boom (do they chose prats with these names on purpose?).

App updated a couple months back, and now Amazon Music is virtually unusable on Android Auto. IE - "Shuffle My Music" button is gone. "Library" selection is gone. Also, the 100 Million songs is one short at least. I can't download the studio version of "Change" by John Waite. Live version only, so... there's that. Overall though, I have a LIBRARY of about 1,000 songs I LIKE, and Amazon is CONTANTLY trying to marginalize my library so I listen to random music of their choosing. Super annoying.

Apple Music has both lossless audio and Dolby Atmos. It's also more user-friendly than Spotify when I transfer personal MP3 files to my library. I had cloud issues when using Spotify for my personal MP3 files. Apple Music also allows me to edit the displayed info - albeit only within the desktop app, but worth it.

By "transfer" do you mean "download"? because I have used the download feature on both but haven't noticed much of a difference. But if you're referring to hard files that you input into your music library in either app, then I understand what you mean.

After using & testing all among amazon , yt , apple music & spotify thoroughly , i genuinely recommend apple music cause it gives best recommendations , there lyrics are the best ( line by line highlighted instead of a paragraph ) , best user interface , the best audio quality ( although mostly depends on your headphones/earphones )

Until they fix the UI the only thing I'd even consider Amazon Music for is the radio stations. There is no scroll bar so going through your library is a pain. There is also no full library shuffle of just your music, which is something Winamp figured out 20 years ago.

Rather complaisant attitude from this reviewer, sadly , underplaying the significance of this DEGRADE and removal of key functionality.....As others have commented below Amazon have deliberately and cynically removed key functionality from its Amazon Music service specifically access to songs on demand and your even your purchased and downloaded music including your playlists and replacing it with an utterly useless 'shuffle mode' that :plays music by similar artists !! If you've bought Echo devices to listen specifically to your personal music collections your exluded from them and instead constantly bombarded with ads to buy 'Amazon Unlimited' for an extra subscription (even as an existing Prime member !) which is the whole wretched purpose of this deplorable 'upgrade' ! I was intending to purchase Echo dots for some of my family but instead will warn them to avoid Amazon devices lest the fall for the 'shuffle hustle' perpetrated cynically by Amazon ! I wish there was a way of exposing the 'Con' more widely ( ie on social media or even billboards) to impede their MIS-SELLING of their devices under false pretences ! Amazon music has so many issues with the app. It never loads my whole downloaded library unless I open and close the app a bunch of times or turn wifi off and on or reset filter settings, and then the song organizer is crap my songs never download in order or can't put them in the oder that they'd usually be in on Spotify they're basicly shuffled on amazon music

It annoys the hell out of me when a specific song is missing from what should be a "full album" from a given artist. And I'm not talking about compilation albums with greyed out songs where it's obvious a license might have lapsed. I'm talking a full album listing the wrong number of songs with specific songs nowhere to be found. Case in point, at the time of this writing, the Delinquent Habits self-named 1996 album is missing track #1. It should be a 14 track album but it's shown as a 13 track album with track #1 missing. CDs and ripping need to make a comeback. F this streaming BS.

This is late stage capitalism in action. Monopolize and once you have eliminated the competition then either raise prices directly or begin charging for existing services and features. Bribe ahem sorry I mean "lobby" congress to eliminate worker and consumer protections because at this point you have more money then you know what to do with and you don't give a fuck about your customer or your workers, all that matters is the shareholder. And because you have no competition there is no need to ever improve or innovate and if genuine competition ever appears on the horizon you can just buy them out because your worth hundreds of billions of dollars. And that's how we arrive at where we are today where a few megacorporations own everything and where delivery drivers, who are only contractors so that Amazon doesn't have to pay them benefits, are forced to pee in bottles and warehouse employees drop dead do to heat exhaustion and other workers have to literally continue working around their dead body.
