they go based off of the products with sales, if you have most of your products selling, to amazon that means you are a good designer and therefore rank you up faster.

I skipped a lot of tiers it seems. You don't have a monster for my current tier! 😎 In June 2022 I was shockingly tiered from Tier 4,000 to Tier 30,000, which is where I am now. Even more strangely, that bump to 30,000 happened 5 days after I reached Tier 4,000. It has been 5 months, so knock on wood, my current tier doesn't look like it's going to be undone. I feel very fortunate. As of today, I've uploaded 5,272 designs, so there's still plenty of work to do!

@@markymaarty - When I got tiered up from 2,000 to 4,000, I had a bit over 3,000 all time sales. So five days later, I had only sold a handful more, certainly nowhere near 30,000 all time.

@DJCeremony - can I ask what your return rate is and if you design your own shirts from scratch/are they mostly word-based or do you use primarily premade graphic elements from something like Canva? I'm asking because I have currently been stuck in tier 100 for months and months despite having 80-100 of my slots filled at any one time and currently over 1,900 sales. My best sellers are Halloween though so my return rate is around 9% which I believe is quite high. My best-sellers are also text-based with some premade graphic elements - this is why I ask if maybe your designs are perhaps of a better/more intricate quality than what I'm using maybe. Just feeling super frustrated and asking anyone who might know lol

@@niceice07 - How do you calculate your return rate? Most of my uploads don't sell. About 90% of my sales come from a few designs that are all part of the same niche. For my most popular design, I uploaded many alternate versions in different color schemes, and all of the different color schemes sell. That has served me well. I'm a graphic designer, and most of my designs are text based. I play with different typefaces and type treatments. I almost never buy graphics to make designs, but have a couple of times. I just build all my designs from scratch, mostly on the topics of sayings, and geography (places people live). I've also has some success with "adult themed" / "naughty" funny sayings. I totally get your frustration! Remain patient, I hope you tier up soon. I was stuck on Tier 2,000 for 4 months, with all 2,000 slots filled. I just worked on my Etsy shops during those 4 months, and one day... voila! I finally got tiered up. I don't know what AMOD is up to, but I'm just glad that the patience finally paid off.

@@DJCeremony return rate is a simple calculation of dividing your number of returns by the number of sales. You should be able to do it on your own but the extension Productor also does it automatically. Thank you for the additional information and best of luck with your continued success! (if you are able to figure out your return rate though... would love to know since I think this might be a factor for my account)

Currently in tier 6000 and have been “eligible” for a tier-up since May. Very frustrating waiting, however, it has given me time to either re-list designs about to expire or delete old designs to make slots available for new designs. Also, it has given me time to upload to Etsy while I wait for my tier-up.

Thanks for the updated info. With due respect, I still doubt your info about needing only 40-60% of sales to tier up is accurate. If a Tier 10 seller has recently (Nov 2022) gotten an upgrade with only 6 sales, I'd love to hear about it. I have heard from many people like me with nearly 100 (one hundred) sales and are still stuck in Tier 10.

I sold 40 shirts before being finally tiered from 10 to 25. Now I have over 50 designs and am still on 25. My slots are always full and I rotate non sellers out.

I'm stuck at tier 100 for a LONG time now. a couple of months. My slots have been full for 2 months at least and I've sold almost 200 products. Any advice?

I know this video is from 6 months ago, but I’m watching everything I can find on MOD. I’m commenting because I’m definitely a deviant 😁 Amazon started me at Tier 1000 (not a joke), and while I fully expected it to roll back as a mistake or glitch, that was now almost a month ago, and I’m still at Tier 1000. 🤷‍♀️ Absolutely thrilled about it but completely clueless as to why or how it happened.

I don't think the percentage of tier sales applies anymore. I recently had 425 sales when I filled all my slots and almost as soon as I hit 500 I got tiered up.

I must be an exception. Skilled up to 100 from 10 and didn't get rolled back. Also have ads at 100. I should say that I've been selling fiction on a KDP account since 2015 so maybe that positively affected my account?.

i have 300+ slaes and still stuck in tier 10 i have been lucky to hit a trend and im still getting daily sales from 3 designs with the full slots filled. When was the last tiers up? and whats your prediction for the next tiers ups.

Ryan, thank you for this great video. QUESTION: I'm in Tier 25. When you say to fill upload slots to help Tier Up, do you mean Published Designs or the thing that says Product Potential? I have 25 Published Designs, but the Product Potential says 26 of 1,650 and it won't let me click on anything extra like sweatshirts etc.
