Amazon Portable Greenhouse Review

Looking back I should have gotten the greenhouse with the vent flaps but I guess I got a little click happy. Oh well 🤷🏼‍♀️. This one works too.

I ordered a similar sized greenhouse which had the clear cover. Recently we had windy snowfall that ripped the cover to shreds😔. Instead of buying panels to cut and retro fit the greenhouse, I saw that Amazon had replacement covers. I ordered the green. Upon arrival I noticed that it was reinforced, not like the original clear cover. Also windows on opposite sides, of which the clear did not have. So far so good. I'm loving it plus it gives me a degree of privacy the clear, obviously, did not have. Also the upper corners did not fit perfectly, but for the most part, it fit like a glove!

I know it's late but just a tip you're in zone 8 just put the greenhouse against your home the heat from your home will help keep the frost out so you don't have to chance starting a fire

I bought the one with racks on only one side so my tall plants fit in just fine. They now make them with vent windows on the side.

I need on where I can fit more of my big plants. I'm not sure how all my plants are going to fit in it this year.

I watched this video before getting one like yours but it's a clear version. I used wire to secure the shelves. Also added bubble wrap and a heater for the cold at night. Also put two slabs inside to secure it during wind.

I used zip ties and it worked alright. I’m sure your wires would work better. I used a heater as well. My plants did sooooooo well last winter in there. They grew so much. I think I tricked them into thinking it was spring. I also used cement blocks on the bottom rods to keep the house in place. Let me know how yours do over winter!

@@ShookHomemade what is your minimum winter night time temperatures? Mine is 5 degrees Celsius (41f) min so far. Day time can get to 22c (71f) So far I have fuschias growing and even lemons growing among others! Looks promising. Hopefully I'll do an update.

We ordered a 300$ hoop green house. The ribs were spaced to far apart on their frame so it collected water and caved in on itself. Broke all the ribs and the company don't do replacements

Ah that’s terrible! I know farmers friend is well known for their hoop houses! Maybe check there.

I still have it and it’s had some ware and tear. Mainly from my kids taking a garden tool to the plastic. I plan to put it away during the summer since it gets scorching here. That helps keep them in better shape for sure.

The link you showed below goes to Amazon, a view of their $120.00 g/h. But that one is 28 inches deep. The g/h you set up in the video is about 5 feet deep. So i would like to ask you to clarify what model this is you have and the dimensions, please.

So far so good! I did buy a simple $16 heater from Walmart to make it a hot house too. So far it’s held up well through several storms. :) hope this helps.

I did have a big move recently so I’ll be setting my greenhouse up again this fall. Last winter my plants LOVED the greenhouse. I had great growth through winter.

It’s holding up well but I attribute that to me packing it away during the summer so the Texas sun doesn’t destroy it.

Don’t use a space heater with this, it’s not suitable

I used a very small heater fan and it seemed to do very well. My plants were very happy over the winter.
