Hello, is it possible to manually transfer the already structured albums from your fotos App (galary) from your mobile phone to amazon photos, without to have them to structure new. I see the problem, that there is only the option to transfer all photos as a stream or click all photos manually, because amazon photos do not show up the already sortet albums. Thank you a lot!

Sadly that is not possible, it was possible with Amazon Drive to folders and then the stream in your library, but Amazon Drive is no more. Hence why I am so sad that it is gone 🙃

Amazon Photos? Pure rubbish. No landscape, no multiple selection, no option to make folders, no view options (like tags or albums), no editor. A, and last time I checked, you simply can't find freaking bin. Trash

Might be worth another look, you can do multiple selections and albums, but tagging in any app should be done with caution to make sure you can get all that hard work out! But I agree the app is a bit hard to work with!😊

Hey, I was wondering- is there a way to manually select how many photos you want to be backed up to amazon photos on mobile? In my case, I have a shared amazon photo account with my family for photos we take on vacation, and I have a lot of good photos but, I also have a lotttt of junk photos that I don’t want to back up to our shared family account. Lmk if theres a manual select option for back up, it would help, and thx for great content as always 🙏

So it depends on what phone you have, on an iPhone sadly no, it is all or nothing. On an Android yes, you can pick what albums you want it to back up under the upload settings. So yes and no! 😊

Yes absolutely, just use the iPhone app for Amazon photos and set up auto backup. 😊

Last time I checked you can't even look at your photos in landscape mode on the phone or tablet app!!! And oh how I wish all my photos had the correct metadata, even if it meant I could just put them in date order, rather than upload order.

Oh the joy of metadata, if the data is there then it will load for the shoot date, but if it has gone crazy check out these useful programmes A Better Finder Attributes for the Mac ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/h5y6YqKwrNqJrrc) or a few options for the PC with this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/jZ7Vn4V9n6ubn68. I just checked on my photo also and landscape is possible, so maybe things have changed since you last tried out Amazon Photos, things like to change all the time, hence why I have to do updates 🙃

Thank you so much for your videos. We really love and appreciate them. How do you scan vintage images from the 70's that have a texture on them? We we scan they look pixelated.

Ah the age-old problem of those pesky textures photos. So there are a few options which are all about post-scanning adjustments, you can use Camera Raw filter in Photoshop and slide the Texture slider down, there are some Photoshop plugins too such as Pattern Suppressor which is free. If you have the patience there is an option to scan, then rotate the image 180 degrees and scan again, then stitch together in software with 50% opacity. I hope that helps! But whoever thought they were a good idea has a lot to answer for! 😁

So the app can detect what date is it originally or the date reflects by the time you uploaded it?

So yes the app will go and look at the capture date and use that, as long as it is correct. Although I will say that those pesky videos like to lose their capture dates when you move them around a lot! 😁

The video I really need to see is the difference between sync or not as I dont understand why its asking me for 2 choices in the sync section can you shed any light on this?

Are you in the Backup section or sync in the settings area? Backup you the options are 1. Drag and drop a folder and it will upload it once 2. Backup continuously - it will keep an eye on the folders you ask it to look at and it will keep backing up Or are you somewhere else... let me know and I can have a look 😁

@amandalittlecott I've done my backup but noticed it wasn't syncing changes so I've tried switching that on but it's asking me to select 2 folders? I can't find any explanation on it online. And amazon own customer service don't have knowledge of the product

If you go to Amazon "smile" icon on the app on your phone, then go to the settings cog in the top right, go to upload settings and toggle off save videos, then will be all good! 😁

@@kevinlabore1726 For the desktop app you set up the back up to what ever folder you want, then in the settings just make it to only do Photos and that should do the job for you. 😁

Useful information, but please can you think about how you speak? I’m not trying to be offensive, I’m trying to help. Too many KZbin videos have people who speak in a way which is not at all like they would speak to another person. So the sound comes across as robotic. I think you will get more likes if you change the way you present. There are some excellent people here. Take a note from them and grow your channel ❤.

Her accent sounds as though she is from England or Australia, thus one just needs to become attuned to different accents. Also, many KZbin content creators type out their monolog, practice reading it, then on KZbin read it from their screen which keeps them on track so they do not leave anything out, and yes the inflection of ones voice would change from a one-on-one conversation. Give it a go, read a book out loud, then talk with someone, notice between those two you will sound different as well.
