The most useful tool in my kitchen for over two years.I have an older model with two lids; this is definitely worth it. I love that I can do everything in one pot; significantly makes it easier and reduces cleaning. Made yogurt last week, always use the pressure cooker, air fryer and sauté features. I can see where the meat probe can be handy, but most of my roasts get shredded for tacos, burritos, chili verde, etc. and I just know the temps and time to cook them at. I also love that I don’t have three separate machines taking up space. If you buy one, KZbin can be your best friend for how to get using it.

It seems in US website they are no longer listing this model or giving prominence to this. They are listing new models which have everything but pressure cook function in it. How's the pressure cook function in this to cook lamb, beef stew or chicken curry etc? Is the air fryer worth it or better to buy separate air-fryer with wider surface?

it's not big enough simple as. it may weigh a ton but it's not big enough. it does too many things not as well as other more targeted products. it's not a patch on ninja's own purpose made air fryer and it doesn't come remotely close to the 9.5 litre instant pot (sadly no longer in production - why??????????)

yes one pot to do it all, it can be done, as proof of concept. But I find it unpractical. After a while I end up with 3 appliances that works for me: Electric Grill (OptiGrill Tefal) + AirFryer/Press.Cooker (InstantPot Duo) + Thermomix (tm6). I rarely use home oven (mostly for pizza, due to its size) OR cooker, mostly to heat up something or fry eggs.

I've just moved home and currently in the new place while it gets a kitchen refit, me mam had this sitting in the back of her cupboard for months if not years so I thought I'd bring it and it's been great! It was a slow slog working it out though and I'm happy I found this video because I thought I might have been overreacting about the noise as I'd never used an air fryer before so had never heard one before but my god is it loud. Great video straight to the point and covered everything I wanted to know, I'll show me mam the video and maybe she'll see how she could get use out of it because I think I'll try out a normal air fryer instead once the kitchens done.

@radiantgale3 ай бұрын
Amazon should still have stock. They've delisted these last year or so in favor of the Speedi it seems. Maybe because it's cheaper to make since it doesn't have pressure cooking capabilities or maybe there was not enough margin in these products with skyrocketing prices of materials. Might also be doing a refresh like they always do and have new models next year or something. Prime day is coming up, perhaps you can snag it at a great deal then

I appreciate this video. I just picked up one of these on Amazon Prime day. My inspiration was visiting with my daughters and seeing their cookers in operation. I’ve had it a week and made sun dried tomates from my garden, bread, three item meals and fries. I am very impressed so far. However… the manuals leave a LOT to be desired. Yes they have a few menus and speak of generalities in cooking. However they absolutely need to discuss each cooking mode in detail with considerations and recommended settings. Anyway, I suspect with time, and a few failures, I’ll eventually get it. That said, so far I am am definitely in the honeymoon stage of my relationship! 😂

Hi can you please provide more information on the three tier cooking method - what mode is that you put it on to do this? I don’t completely understand that but it’s what appeals to me most as I want to cook the entire meal f different components in the one appliance thanks
@CandidClara4 ай бұрын
Hi, it is confusing! This is from my transcript, I hope it helps, but also be assured that Ninja provide a very good instruction/recipe book which has a step by step of several meals using this method. “If you are doing steam meals your liquid can be something like a stock or a pasta sauce and one of the really useful features of the 14 in 1 which is why a lot of people on their own love it, is that you can create layered meals where you cook three very different parts of a meal on and below the tiered rack, so for example at the bottom you might start with rice with water obviously, then in the middle you add vegetables on foil and on the top directly beneath the heating element you have your meat or fish so you can cook it all together and you don’t need any other appliances or cooking utensils.”
@radiantgale3 ай бұрын
You can use the 3 tier cooking for steam and steam and crisp settings. On the bottom you add water/stock/broth plus grains or noodles. Then you add the rack and place veggies(etc) in the middle and protein on the top. If using steam and crisp, it crisps up your protein. There's some times mentioned in the booklet it gives you. You can also look into the Ninja Speedi booklet for ideas too since it's core feature is very similar (if not the same) to steam and crisp, just with a 15 min timer by default. You should be able to find the booklets on the site. This type of cooking isn't really new either, except if you want to use the steam and crisp for multi tier cooking to crisp up your protein, that's the perk of getting this for multi tier cooking. It's something you can set up with racks in other multi cookers or steam machines. You can also search online for recipes to give you a better idea how it works in practice, and whether you want to get this multi cooker for that alone or make something you have already work instead.
