Great video, glad yt finally recommend some good lost art content creators that talks about the issues logically. Another thing to add is that as game get more complex AGS need to react faster. The partnership at its current tenure is def holding back a lot for the western lost art game as they are heavily reliant on SG to make major changes like the said mokoko event could have been easily hot fixed if a portion of the development was done in house. Idk what the plan is for the future but I do hope that as part of the next year road map is to release the content simultaneously. As I play more poe2 I realize how a sense of discovery is lost when all the raids comes to us and we have troves of ready made min-max information when the raid drops which also attributes to raid anxiety and gatekeeping as well.

100% agree - I really hoped that AGS would address the criteria which grants players the leaf icon, sadly they did not...I really hope they are working on it somehow and make this event a permanent system of the game.

Honestly for anyone catching up the current gold coat is way too high between elixirs trans and honing status feels like you need about 3 million gold just to have a 1640 non-rat roster

I think I will make a gold making video for t4 players outside of raiding to help folks get some extra taps in weekly. Definitely super costly with 1 or 2 chars only in tier 4.

They forgot all about their Mokoko Mentor program too. It's been long forgotten. All they had to do was casually mention it in their vids or notes about such players possessing the titles and if they see them around they could easily reach out. New title "Mokoko General" fellt like a slap in the face for "Mokoko Mentor", they get a nice legendary title that stands out with an icon too, and as well as the added rewards. Meanwhile, the Mokoko Mentors that have been doing it for like a year and a half now, for no reward, only has a blue title that doesn't even stand out. Not to mention, they don't ever visit their Mokoko Mentor Program, to at least give some sort of encouragement, "hey keep up the good work", would go a long away.

I just returned about 2 weeks ago and the first thing I was trying to look for was a mentor program. Which sadly no longer exists or if it does you rarely see anyone available to mentor you. I got a response from a mentor that they already moved on from the game. :(

@@Goree0323 If you're on on NAW, just look for the post with the most comments. Can't miss it, everyone there barely breaks a hundred, mine has over 400+ I am still helping people learn the raids, than just doing a free bus.

dude im getting gate kept as a 1643 with 105 trans crit elixirs lvl9 t3 gems and lvl 6-7 t4 gems so tell me im not getting gate kept as mokoko just because i dont have x10 achivment.. hows that my fault im a new player and still dont have it and yes i know the mechas in raids when we wipe or get jailed its never because of me.

but how do people fix their rat characters when progress and gold gains are timegated? for the people willing to grind and play. they run out of meaningful things to do pretty fast and have to wait weeks to months of doing whatever they can based on timegated gains just to get in the raid. But by then people have moved on so they're forever stuck cause they can't grind to catch up even if they were willing to. powerpsases, free stuff, and making old content irrelevant ruins the game due to timegated gameplay

The ignite server was the solution for it, I already got 2 runs in the Aegir raid coming from the ignite, but indeed the gold os not enough I had some gold since I'm a returner

Rat characters are fine, lobbies are filled with them. My only thing is if you are in a position where you have a rat character, don't expect or feel entitled to be in a juiced lobby, or really an average lobby. I have rats, but look to throw in lobbies of similar stature, or with friends lobbies. New players and Returning players, even vets to an extent will have multiple rats, if not a majority of their roster will be them. Something like the Mokoko Event, in my opinion, can be a great first step to allow these casual and new players to get into lobbies with these characters, because as you said the timegated nature is kind of an inherent part of cogs that make this f2p game function.

Support rat alts are no problem if you know mechs. Dps rat alts as the easiest way to cheese progression would be to buy cheap busses and not buy the chests. That way, you save time, progress and are still positive on gold. Example would be echidna hardmode where raid nets you 19.5k for clear. Busses run 13k-15k so what you want to do is sell gems/lifeskill/daily tradeable mats to slowly build a character. If you don't like the timegate then swipe. If you don't want to bus then network to get free carries. That's about it. There's a guy in NAW with 3 paladin only accounts who told me about this and he tries to finish raids by friday. Saturday he just starts to take busses and farm lifeskill/cubes/rested guardians&chaos dungeons to send back to main roster. There are alternatives out there. Ones you might not like but are options that do work. At the end of the day, it's just a game and if it no longer serves it's purpose of bringing you joy then it's time to walk away. I imagine with all the complaints something may happen to further nerf that irritation, so we shall see. Did u happen to get a. G1 thae for the free 3 set of trans? Or solo voldis gate 1 for elixirs?

@alvinm172 what do you mean convert? Like gear conversion at honing vendor? If so yes. It’s how you convert your gear and level into tier 4 at base 1640

@alvinm172 yes, but once u get one of each piece no need to run anymore. U can do all in one session, no other benefit other than finishing sets will random drop at end. The new event will give u free set so u won’t even have to run it on that character

A large portion of the player base can be found in north and south kurzan, with still a lot found in elgacia or voldis. Hubs below that are super old content and will be mostly barren because of that.

Nah I mean Amazon has faultered but I think there are much worse publishers out there. And Amazon is a publisher that needs to learn because it will have a future in publishing lots mor egames.

More returning players than you'd expect have their normal understanding of a mokoko icon and don't know how the event one differs. Specifically only showing up in voldis/thaemine/echidna/behemoth party finder lobbies so they check their profile, see no icon then log off to not log back in. A small number of them make a post on reddit or some message on discord complaining about how they don't have an icon (some of those players being below 1600 so they'd literally not be able to check if they had an icon even if they wanted to) and I've found out they actually do have the mokoko status talking with them further I think that's a pretty big part of it that never gets talked about, people mainly just discuss the requirements and how specific new/returning friend that played ignite doesn't have it. Some kind of easy visibility/knowledge on the event mokoko would definitely help

This is definitely partially the case, was one of my theories of why they weren’t talking about it. Especially with how many people in the comments I had to guide towards checking properly
