I genuinely have been using Morning Brew the last 8 months and it's a great service. Completely free, easy to understand daily news. Check it out! cen.yt/mboztalks3 This video was delayed 2 weeks because I edit *very* slowly. I'm going to hopefully hire an editor by the new year so I can get videos out faster. Otherwise, hope you enjoy the video and you found it useful. And yeah, there's an oopsie at 6:21 haha at least you get to see my editing notes first hand

I bought a 'Like New' Delonghi coffee machine from Amazon UK...when it arrived it was pouring water all over the electrics from a hole in the boiler...I told them it was potentially life threatening due to electrocution. They told me it had been tested and was scrapped.......It turned up at a friends house two weeks later as 'Like New'...it still had the same life threatening fault. F Amazon, they are happy to kill people for money and lie about following even basic safety laws.

It just baffles me, I can not process this is being sold today. Back in very late 2012 when I was in my teens my mom bought me a Medion Gaming PC for 500 Euros with the same gtx650 1GB and an i5. That was almost exactly 10 years ago. That they sell this 10-year-old outdated hardware for the same price nowadays is completely insane to me, lol.

Then my friends accidentally blew out the power in the place I was staying and the power supply went out and took everything with it. I bought a Newegg "gaming PC" for $1000 thinking I was so galaxy brained. It came with a bad GPU. Sent it back. They sent it back with a bad CPU. Sent it back again (this involves packing the beast back up and carrying the giant box to UPS....total hassle). Built my own PC. Works perfectly. Never again will I buy a "gaming pc" from one of these big retailers.

It makes me sad that pc building on a budget is nigh on impossible at the moment. Remember when you could go grab an athlon 750k and an HD 7870 and fire up bioshock infinite at 1080p and laugh heartily at the xbox 360 players, then the r9 range came out even stronger with that unlocked pentium (was it a g3528 or something). 10 years on and we're still chasing 1080p at a similar price point 😭. honestly, I'd say if anyone wanted to get into gaming get a series s and a t450s for school work.

I remember when I sold off my first gaming PC to get some money and was running a core 2 duo desktop my uncle gave + a GT 440. Man, it was painful and saving up took forever...but building my next PC (athlon 860K + radeon 7970) was SO sweet. First time I tried overclocking, watercooling, and eventually ITX. Loved that machine despite its price and age. Thanks for reminding me 😭 Honestly, your last point about the Series S + T450S seems like a great video concept. maybe ill give it a shot

@@OzTalksHW thanks for the reply oz 😊 Do you think without that positive experience you would be into tech in the same way now? There must be a lot of people that are turned away by the prohibitive expense that might have eventually contributed to the tech world! I remember building a computer in the 90s from parts my school was going to throw out but got put off by how expensive gaming would be on a pc back then even. I have a t450s that I use for work, I chucked in a new WiFi card capable of 5ghz and Bluetooth and an ssd. It works great honestly, keeps up with my relatively light work load (I'm a teacher, so lesson planning and lots of spreadsheets is my focus). As a bonus it keeps up with project xcloud on gamepass. My desktop is a ryzen 5 3600 with an rtx 2070 super, honestly think it'll be my last unless the market alters where pc gaming is competitive again

I've got a build in my garage I'm getting ready to list that has an i7-3770, 16gb of ddr3 1600 ram, an asus gtx 970 4gb, 240gb ssd boot drive, 1tb hdd, a 600w evga psu, 24 inch 1080p 60hz monitor, a set of 2.1 speakers with a sub, keyboard, mouse and cables that I'll probably sell for 400-450. The boot drive and power supply are always brand new in these builds I sell to make sure they're reliable. I like to think that's a much better deal and will certainly perform a lot better than that trash. That seller should be ashamed of him/herself.

If you're seeking the highest possible performance out of an igpu, the money you saved on the gpu should be spent on the best possible memory. High frequencies and lower timing will help minimize the effects of the igpu needing to share that dual channel bandwidth with the cpu.
@manofmidway8290
@manofmidway8290 3 жыл бұрын
But pay close attention, no harm in getting the best for your money especially for a near future upgrade or prices being better. But the cache in your CPU has a max mhz that maybe lower than the Ram. For instance in my case I bought a kit of 16GB 3200mhz stock. But my Ryzen 5 Pro 2400GE has a max frequency of 2933 mhz and as such wouldn’t post properly. If you have a problem try looking up your CPU specs and look for max frequency supported. Go into your bios set your Ram to the DOCP settings then just down scale (or upscale) the mhz to the max your CPU supports. Good luck to all of you and may the gaming gods bless you with a GPU near MSRP.

Reinstalled windows with a USB drive and updated everything. I installed a SSD I got from a donor laptop and started working on the software. Its powerful enough to play games like battlefield 4 on medium settings at 30fps. Pretty sweet considering it was free and just took a little time. Might upgrade the ram but I'm not sure yet.

However, I've got a spare desktop GPU that I got from a friend which is a decent improvement from the original setup, but while I would like to make this as cheap as possible - I am not sure if this idea is worth the hassle in the end as I've seen various opinions on it going from "love it" to "hate it". What sucks is that without any of the shortages, someone could’ve easily built a $500-600 system with a RX470 and have way more performance than that MicroCenter build. In the reality of things today though, that $500 is well spent with the Micro Center build even beyond just the gaming. Great video!

@@scidja8567 Sure but its used and less powerful than a 1060. Still not a bad deal given the shortage. If you game on 1080 or less at low settings. I already payed for mine, I game for free. If you can mine with it you can to!

God, it's so satisfying to see a better PC be built for comparison, instead of just saying: "It's bad, and don't buy". That way consumers see that there are alternatives rather than just trusting word of mouth.

Bro you sparked my passion for computers, Ima build your 500$ (for myself) set up you made a few months back, as well as the 300$ one for my twin brothers as a gift just because. They can obviously upgrade over time to something new and I personally am broke and just want something to play postal 2 and do my homework on.

OZ videos are great. Not that I am paying that much attention to the content. I am sure there are plenty of people that needs guidance on the other side of thousands of bucks for PC. But I just relax listening to his calming voice and that background music :D Good job mate.
