Playing on PC with Steam platform and just Xbox controller is a nice experience, steam has the "Big Picture Mode" which can be activated by default, and interface is then similar to Xbox (large thumbs, etc), not to mention the absolute win of NOT having to pay monthly subscription to play online games !

Too bad there arent't many options to build a small gaming compact PC with included power supply, smallest I could build (a bit smaller than the SFF in this video) is with case Chieftec BU-12B. Many "small" cases use an external power supply dangling on a cable, I hate that. There are a few smaller options but the included power supplies fit a limited amount of cases. What would be nice is a smaller case (e.g xbox size) sold with included smaller PSU, so we can just add our mini ITX board and a slim GPU 🤩 Later edit: there are some compact cases with "flex" / "1U" PSUs but those fans are very loud for gaming. A custom case can have larger (less RPM) fan that can be oriented like on the Xbox.

i play most of my games at 1080p and have had a 6700 xt for about 3 years and its been a beast but the fps drops are getting really bad. For example in Hogwarts Legacy walking through the castle I dip to 27 fps all the time. I have a 5600x and 32gbs of ram with this card.

I've owned my gigabyte vision 3070 for about 4 and a half years and it is a beast for 1080p and 1440p

I am running a ryzen 5700x3d 32gig and the 3070 on 1440p. You have to 1. Set expectations realistically on med-high on most games. Sure some vram hungry games might be troublesome, but you get dlss 4 now for those games and you can customise any game to look better then a ps5 maybe ps5 pro territory. 2. I bought it used for 271€ shipping included. Soooo no argue that the gpu is a good value. And while prices are so high on 4000 and 5000 series its a great card to clean some backlog in perfect conditions. You might look for a 3080 used as well. Goes for 400€

I still have this motherboard in my rig and it's been going strong for the last 4 years. I ended up getting the non-wifi version of it, 'cause a lot of my connections are wired and I live in a small enough space to where I don't really need wifi. Been rocking a R5 5600 and a RX 580 (8gig) card for the last 3 years. Still a killer combo.

Hello friend! how are you? I have a similar configuration to yours, but mine is an i7 8700 (it gets very hot, I had to adapt the case). I bought it last year, it was very cheap, as I bought it at auction. Furthermore, my video card is also an arc a380. I bought it in February 2024 and was honestly discouraged due to the low performance. So I ended up abandoning my project and the PC was left in the corner.

The Series S is a poor tax. That is ALL it is. It (the lenovo PC) makes up for it in that you can put a Video card in it. You should have gotten a better card.

They sell consoles at a loss, because they make the real profit from the games they sell you. With pc you gotta eat the initial cost of building or buying it, but the massive library of cheap or free games available or even with all the discounts you can get, plus being able to do more then just play games, kinda justifies it

I have both of theses...the Lenovo (found in the dumpster) and the series S (botched HDMI repair) , sitting on work in progress shelf. The lenovo had a dead PS as far as I can tell...but came with a quadro P620, 512nvme, 32gb ram and a i7 9600. I have the Series S completely apart...its pretty amazing on the side, incredibly small....really small. Not sure which will get fixed first.
