Mark Foster UGH, same! my city (Raleigh) made the top 20 and is also in the running. but the city (like most cities who put a bid for the new HQ) didn't release their official proposal to the public, and likely won't until a decision is made. I understand why, and it makes sense in light of this begin a competition...but I still feel a little ehhhhh about citizens being in the dark. Generally speaking, I think the idea of a corporate giant setting up some sort of weird Municipality Hunger Games where cities compete for their headquarters location by sacrificing tax revenue and potential income from the local economy isn't cool to begin with. That said, I see the upsides (and there are certainly quite a few) of Amazon choosing to come here as well as the downsides. But which one outweighs the other can only really be determined by knowing what we actually offered them. lol which we CAN'T know until it's all said and done anyway. Ultimately I believe this will be a nonissue, as I don't see Raleigh being chosen in the end. But still. Ehhhhh.
