Thanks and thanks for watching! I rely on reviews a lot when I’m shopping online so I like to do my part to help others if I can. Nothing worse than feeling ripped off when you buy something you thought looked good.

in the past year or so ive been trying to give each thing i buy on amazon a through review. not always 5star, some have been negative as well, but ive been doing it hoping i can get on that same program as you! @@ProklaimYYC - About 6 months ago I received an email invitation to the program. First I thought it was a scam as they were asking me to provide my SS #. However, I did a little online research and realized that is legit, and the SS# was needed for tax purposes - in the US, Amazon will send a 1099 form that I will have to file with the IRS. Last month, after watching a video you posted about the program, started requesting free products to review; however, I request only product that I really need and am planning on using as I do wish to pay taxes on stuff that is garbage and will eventually end up in the landfill. Thanks for your video!

Thanks for watching! Being in the US I’d imagine you have to be quite selective about what you choose since it will end up costing you something. Hopefully you’ve found some value in participating in the program!

I think it may just come down to how often people click on the helpful button under your reviews. If this is the case, then I would recommend you add photos of the products you review and to mention anything you think is useful that everyone else hasn't covered. Reviews with photos tend to stand out. I was asked to join. I don't think it's down to the number of reviews as I don't review often, unless total number of orders is a factor (my account is from 2003.. too many dvd movies and videogames...!)

Yep you can get all kinds of nonsense on Amazon.

Can't you forward those attachments to Amazon? These sellers are breaking Amazons TOC and if we did that as affiliates we'd be kicked out instantly.

I got the wrong size and the seller emailed and offered to send the correct size. I accepted. It was a good product and i changed my review. Was this wrong?
@ProklaimYYC Жыл бұрын
IMHO I think that’s perfectly fine. How are you supposed to honestly review a product if you got the wrong size? And that was more likely a warehouse error than a bad product and probably wouldn’t affect other buyers who did not receive the wrong size. What I take issue with is when it’s a bad product and sellers want reviewers to say it’s good. Thanks for watching!

I personally never accept anything from a seller. I’ve had sellers offer me replacement products or even upgraded products, but I always ignore the messages. We aren’t supposed to communicate with sellers other than to ask a simple question. If I couldn’t review the item due to being mistakenly sent a wrong size, I would simply contact CS, explain that I received the wrong size, and they would remove it. Amazon is very clear that we receive items “as-is”, which would include a wrong size. IMHO, Vine reviewers should never accept anything from a seller for any reason.

✋Question Would you ever update a review (if you believe if the seller is genuine in their request to you) stating "The company reached out to fix the issue....I personally will not engage the seller as a respected reviewer, but if you found my review helpful and want to buy this product the seller seems responsive and may want to help fix some issue(s)." ? So I just received an invite to vine and not sure if I should join or not. After watching 2 of your KZbin video's about the subject I am leaning toward joining, but I am wondering how much work goes into this? Is this a few hours a week or is this like a 2nd job? also I am not a professional tester / reviewer actually my writing skills are pretty limited, but is anyone (Amazon, seller or customer) looking for top-notch reviews and information about these products in your opinion.
@ProklaimYYC Жыл бұрын
It’s not too much work at all. I have found that as time has gone on I’ve gotten into a pretty solid groove and writing the reviews comes pretty easily. You know what you like and you know what you don’t like, and can bang them out pretty quickly. After testing, I can do probably 5-10 reviews in a hour depending on how thorough I need to be. Thanks for watching!

The problem is the seller could be giving you special treatment (because they see you're a Vine reviewer) so it could be manipulation.

There are a lot of low quality products on Amazon, it’s true. There’s something satisfying about writing a bad review of a bad product. While I enjoy getting good quality and useful products, I also get a bit of a kick out of trashing bad items. 😂Thanks for watching!

Once you have been chosen to be a Vine reviewer how long and how are you contacted from Amazon to review items
@ProklaimYYC Жыл бұрын
When you’re done filling out all the forms and such, they email you a link that takes you to your Vine queue. It takes the same password as your Amazon account, and once you log in, you can see what’s available and place your orders.
