What did Amazon send me for FREE in November? (Amazon Vine)

It is not free but massively discounted and fun for sure with a small selection of things totally free, it is not free now either due to the taxation charges on items in Europe such as the UK etc and Germany where I am but I still enjoy using it, how the tax people will deal with things is yet to be seen since the legislation/law came in at october 2023 and so people have yet to have to deal with it all until a minimum of October 2024 when the first year is up, , but time will tell. People certainly need to understand the tax situation is there though. Great video

Your referring to DAC7, at the time of filming this review they were free in the UK and as yet we have no firm information that that has changed

@@CandidClara Well we cannot have firm information as the legislation never came in until 2023 for amazon to submit all amounts to the tax officers, like they are now for the UK and many other places, people start receiving/filing and dealing with what ever the tax people are going to do, from October 2024 when the first year from 2023 has passed. I have read that it was supposed to be taxed long before but there was no legal obligation for amazon to submit the amounts, there now are as of October 2023. It will basically be the same as in the US from what I read online and from tax offices pages but there is a lot of confusion against how this will be done because many will argue many good and valid points. You are right, as of yet no one is sure but Amazon are now submitting the total amount to the tax offices and people will have to file, this much I am almost sure about, how much and how they do it and if it can be filed as 0.00, I have no idea. The estimated total is in your account, how this will all pan out I do not know, you are right but one thing I am sure about is, if they can tax and receive anything, they are going to. I just wish they would leave us all be but as for no firm information anything has changed, well the HUGE change is as of 30,,11,2023 we are most certainly facing tax liability, do we want to be? no. But hating on anyone speaking the truth and disliking it, does not change the fact that a big change has happened. What you have to realise is from day one the items were all supposed to be declared as income but they never were and the tax people had no trace of anything. Now everything has changed, amazon by law must submit at the end of a year the total amount taxable, Hence to be anything to do with vine now, you must have had to fill in the tax questionaire and give your details and that is the massive change and you will be paying tax now. When you do I will come back and see how much and whether you were able to reduce any, but the fact is, we are now taxed. This is not only a change in having to pay a tax amount but actually it can have serious consequences on anybody receiving any kind of income in the way of help from the job centre and so on, because the amount will be classed as income, some people will have their benefits stopped because their income with the added amount that the goods taxable value comes to, will exceed that of them being qualified to receive benefits at all.

@@CandidClara New agreement update coming. 1st October giving information on your Tax reporting legal obligation and you can not return any item after having left any type of review or having had the item for 30 days or more, among other things

What is the criteria to get invited to Vine? I dont have 100s of reviews though, maybe a few dozen. I've been trying for years, on and off, to get into the programme in the UK.

No one knows because it’s not been revealed 🤷‍♀️ But I wouldn’t bother devoting too much time to it, it’s fun, but it’s not what it was 5 years ago

Have you ever had to return any items? I have just signed up today for Vine... And I'm sure over time I'll end up receiving stuff I don't want but also don't want to keep it for 6 months

No never, I’m pretty sure that clause is there just to stop people requesting things purely to sell

No, but you can “dispose” of them after six months, though in reality they never check to see if you wait that long

@KushTubeUK I personally wouldn’t, once you start rocking the boat you risk getting the dreaded “suspended for not meeting criteria” note which they seem to hand out for anything that breaks the mould

Still not clear on the ordering part...? Can I choose which items to order in general, or do they provide a list from which you can order items, or do they just send you random items to review? I do not feel happy just generating more global garbage if you know what i mean.

You get to choose from a list, 3 lists actually. I am on a bit of a crusade against global garbage and I like to think (hope) that by reviewing, or calling out, the crap we help a little against the tide! Hope that helps. I’m planning a longer video soon with EVERYTHING I’ve learned about Vine since 2010
