I am going to promote the affiliate links through my pinterest business account. Please tell me what images i can use on my pin to promote the product? Supposing that the is product is a furniture or a bag or something like that. I know that i cannot copy the product image from amazon directly or my account will get banned. So what is the solution for that? Should i look for similar images for that product? If yes then where can i find them & will my account get banned if i do this. Unfortunately, you can't get approved with a Pinterest account alone. I posted a video explaining that and how to create pins for Amazon products here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bWrNlJl-nd2kn6csi=NuNp8MYxnz9IXgNe Keep in mind that you can't show any Amazon photos in pins either - they need to be your own product photos or stock photos of similar products. (Try Unsplash, Pixibay, Canva etc)

10:10 we can technically just grab the image link from that HTML code which a lot of plugins seem to do... My question is ..are we compliant if we do so.. since its my API generated image link Love to know of we can just use the Amazon image url instead of the whole code.

Nope - you can only add it via the HTML code (they know if the rest of the code is missing) or a plugin that displays it via the link.

Hi Ana, This was very helpful. Especially the tip that said if it doesn't work check back in a few days because that is exactly what happened. Didn't work when I first tried it but now it does. One question. I selected the field for PRICE but no price shows up. What I produced looks just like your with the cover image, a truncated title and the word prime but nothing else that I selected. I actually tried 'select all' then pasted that code in and still not change on the front end. Any tips on how to make the price show up? Thx ;-)

So glad it worked the second time around!! I actually had the same issue - no price showed up. I think you need to select the "offer" options for that (Offers][Offer][OfferListing][Price][Amount] and sometimes in [OfferSummary][LowestNewPrice][Amount].) See if that does the trick.

@@TheSheApproach Hi Ana, I appreciate your follow up. I went in and tried again and same result, no pricing info will display. I selected /Offers⌄ Offers.Listings.Price/ and then ran the request. I even tried it with the product you used in the video. I also tried selecting all the fields and still no price. The image, title and prime logo show up but price doesn't display. When I copy and paste the HTML code I can see PRICE info showing up in the code but it doesn't display on the front end. Hmm.

Great tutorial. Could you tell me how I can justify the custom HTML code to display the image in the center? When I paste the code and preview it, the image is left justified

You can try adding the "center" tag in the HTML box. Like so: AMAZON HTML CODE HERE . If this doesn't work (sometimes it doesn't for me), it's easier to use columns or blocks within your web builder that shows the text to the right, fitting it around the image.

Hi Ana, is it okay legally to copy the product image from Amazon, then edit the image size etc in Canva. Then in WP post editor, paste the SiteStripe TEXT link to the edited image, as well as in accompanying text? I'm a new blogger and a new amazon affiliate and haven't made my 3 qualifying sales yet. No, you can't download the photo and use it even if you modify it. You can use that technique for stock photos instead or your own photos of the product.

Update: I bought Lasso but I do not have the option for SiteStripe in the Bulk Import dropdown. I only see AAWP there and I do not want to convert my AAWP tables to Lasso just yet. Any ideas why I am not seeing the SiteStripe option?

Heya. The Site Stripe option will show only if you have Site Stripe generated code on your website. If you used another plugin to embed those, the site-stripe code is overwritten and won't need to be replaced. If you have used the Amazon HTML before for your images, but it won't show, contact Lasso support - might be a glitch (but it showed for me on multiple website).

Ahh, I noticed that too with the Site Stripe. Your best bet is to create multiple columns and see if you can add it in column 2/3 to center it and leave the rest blank.

You can use Lasso without the API key and before you make your first 3 sales. But if you do have an API key, you can connect that to your account, as it will allow it to pull deals/vouchers/offer prices that are time-sensitive, as it can update it regularly.

Yes! I did mine for multiple blogs and all images looked exactly the same size on the user site - only the back-end code changed to replace the old SiteStripe code.

Unfortunately, Lasso (and most plugins) only works for Wordpress. You will be able to add the HTML images via the scratchpad, or there seem to be a few Wix apps (like Zonify) that might work.

This shows up when you first generate the API code, and won't be shown again in your account for privacy reasons. You have to copy-paste both somewhere secure, or if you added them to another plugin, they will be visible there (for example Lasso). If you didn't save them anywhere, generate a new API key from "manage credentials" and it show show you the new key and the secret key as well.

In my opinion - Lasso: getlasso.co/features/amazon/?ref=thesheapproach. They are the only tool that will work without needing an API key - which you only get once your account has been approved. So if you need images from the get-go, that's your best bet.

@TheSheApproach yes I have seen on the rop. But it doesn't work. So I used to go product link, and then I selected the product line, then selected the subcategory. After clicking on (get HTML), I select my product and the product link too.

No you can't do that, it's against Amazon associate policy, if you do that, Amazon will most likely ban your account. I hope this helps

No, downloading or screenshoting the product images is not allowed, and it will get you kicked out of the program, unfortunately.

It probably means that the details you added aren't correct. Double check your API/secret key, Asin of the product and parameters. All the error codes are also explained here: webservices.amazon.com/paapi5/documentation/troubleshooting/error-messages.html

Amazon is a crap. I am also getting same error when i am adding correct credentials i.e. both keys and by tag. Amazon says if we send request using SDK then request is automatically signed so no need to worry about invalid signature. However in that case i got too many requests error even though i am approved affiliate since last few years.

@@pritpalsingh2230 It might be because you don't have enough API credits - in other words, not enough sales recently. It is a big downfall of using their tool. You usually don't get this problem with a third party plugin.

Thanks for the content, i contact amazon support ans told them my API key is active and 50 images are added in mu website through API key and they worked fine. But my website is blog so i upload more articles on dialy basis. NOW I FACE an issue of too many requests and they said you can only add limited images based on the sales, because in a 2 months i can't generate sales so that is why. NO tell me how can i pull images without API key free plugin? No paid? Are their is any code i myself write and do it like the paid plugin do? Any video on this issue?

First off, thank you for the content. I just became a new subscriber. I am trying at first to add the links myself. I followed all the steps you have given and when I submit the request in the scratchpad on amazon I get this error message. Error! TooManyRequests The request was denied due to request throttling. Please verify the number of requests made per second to the Amazon Product Advertising API. I waited 30 minutes and tried again and still got it. I even tried to replace it with a different item ID and still got it. Any suggestions?
