A friendly advice: as far as I know Amazon does not allow you to film inside the distribution center, inside the van and on the property of customers. And sometimes the addresses are visible on the packages. A privacy issue.

Not usually because Amazon spreads the stops out even in dense areas plus you have to hit a bunch of buttons on the phone to see what packages you need then if you leave anything behind in the van you have to double back but if the street is too narrow or there’s construction it’s faster to walk

i totally understand bro. i kinda felt like that on my first day. i suggest you take everything slow. Turning and reversing is always a challenge with these big step vans but honestly give it like a week n youll get really comfortable with it. Always watch the mirror on the side your turning n take the widest turn possible just to be safe and soon youll get comfortable on measuring your van. Try to watch your tail when pulling into parking spaces because your tail might swing a bit. Other than that you should be good man. Good luck on your class and on your 1st day. I thought about upgrading to the step van cause it's bigger, you get more room and it's more of a suitable vehicle to deliver packages, but had second thoughts cause you get a lot more stuff(over 400 packages), which I probably don't want to do, and there's no heater/AC and I don't think I can live with that.
@chiipzz7041
@chiipzz7041 2 жыл бұрын
yes your right you might get more pacakages but AC doesnt really matter to me because im constantly getting in n out, shuttin off the van throughout the day that it never has time to even cool down. heater does work also but again these stepvans are like a metal box with minimal insulation. I'm in a regular van, not step van. We never get time to sort overflow during loading. I personally wait until I need my first overflow, and as I dig through the boxes.. if it's not the one I need, I write the yellow sticker number HUGE in sharpie somewhere visible. That way I only have to dig through one time. It saves a lot of time, and energy. I don't even organize them anymore, just look at the sharpie.

What phone holder is that bro. How the hell y’all get so many packages and get done so damn fast.
@chiipzz7041
@chiipzz7041 2 жыл бұрын
😂i honestly have no idea where you can get that phone holder, its provided in each of our company vehicles. I always try to do around 50-60 stops before my lunch(2:30pm) but that count might vary due to different areas like city or suburbs. I do believe organization and planning ahead is key though.

You're making it hard on yourself ma ..load the light totes on the top shelf The kinda heavy on the middle rack And the heave ones on the floor. Put your totes on one side and your over size on other side , life will be so much vetter

some guys at my dsp do the same thing and some do it like me. its basically a different way of organizing. Im just so used to my own way and i find myself faster as is. Totes aint that heavy either way.
